I nearly said morning all but realised it’s after 1.40pm As I said I’m in NE England and to be colloquial its bucketing down here so an enforced day indoors. Not complaining  as it’s stops me feeling guilty about not getting outdoor jobs done.
In a different post ( I think) there were for/against comments about doing a cruise as a holiday. Well …. we live not far from the mouth of the Tyne and a Fred Olsen cruise ship is sailing from there today to sail to Scandinavia. Sailing out of the Tyne is a lovely experience so unless it turns sunny or at least bright by teatime the folk on board won’t experience it at its best.

    Good afternoon,

It’s been wet and cold here, although the rain seems to have eased off now.

Wishing you a belated Happy birthday @Ergates 💐🎉.

The service at church was lovely today and we all came away with a beautiful bunch of daffodils - they look so cheerful despite the grey day.

Its too wet and cold to do anything in the garden today, I really do wish it would warm up a bit.

Pretty soggy here with rain for most of the day, but we drove 10 miles to the coast at lunchtime and it was sunny and warm there! Lots of families on the seafront, and we were able to sit outside a cafe in the sun, with coffee and a piece of cake to share (coffee and hazelnut, delicious and a bit different) Still raining when we got home, a bit of flooding on the patio, and a mini river running down the road. What a contrast.

    Good evening all,

Just a very quick pop in to say hello. I've been following posts but not much time/opportunity to write.

All good here, the family dinner with my gentleman friend's family was a huge success, we all got along marvelously. They're very close knit and it was very obvious that they all love being together, lots of ribbing and micky taking, youngest was 3 and his mother 75, 3 sisters and partners and all of their kids made a very jolly crowd. My French is improving if nothing else. Exhausted afterwards, but very happy it went well.

Charlie has also had a good week, he came 1st in an orienteering race on Wednesday, a big organisation here and some stuff competition, he was very pleased. Then on Saturday he passed his driving theory test so that's another tick box.

Right, I must sleep, busy week ahead, my chef is going to the UK so I have to step in.

Goodnight and good wishes to all and a belated Happy Birthday to @Ergates. 🎂

Glad you found some sun @Ergates ☀️

And glad you’re having a good time @D0rdogne_Damsel … you deserve some happy relaxed times.

Hope everyone’s had a lovely day, whatever the weather. We’ve just finished a huuuuge Chinese meal and I’m falling asleep …  my back and shoulder have been rubbed with Deep Heat, so night night everyone …sleep tight 😴

    Hi all

Another grey and wet day, but at least I have had my 3rd good nights sleep in a row.

Off to opticians this morning, and then maybe some more seed sowing.
