Thank you @AnnaB, I do hope that we will all overcome this and embrace a new home. I've enjoyed reading your posts enormously. Although both relatively new to this site both you and @Badly_Maintained were such a perfect fit for our village! I hope we all meet again in our now local very soon! 🤗
... One question about the GC site: I typed up an introduction but couldn't post because I had to type in the "participants" box and I don't know if I was posting to someone in particular. What do I type in the box?
...
It sounds as if you started a "conversation" rather than a "thread" @tui34
As far as I can tell, a "conversation" on GC is the equivalent of a PM on here, so you need to select who it goes to (looks like it can be a small group, not just one person). If you want to make it general, use the "post new thread" button (top right in whichever forum area you want to post in).
And hello to all the other Forkers!

Innocently logged in here this morning, and now I find this forum is closing!
I've set up a profile on gardeners corner with the exact same username as I have on here.
Might take a little while to figure out how to work things properly over there, but I'd hate to lose touch with all the really good people I've met on here. My gross ineptitude and utter lack of gardening knowledge hasn't been laughed at, and I haven't been chased away, so I'll miss this forum greatly. Hopefully things can continue at gardeners corner. I very much hope to see you all there.
As always - best wishes to all.

P.S. Thank-you to @WonkyWomble for your kind words.
Also my very best wishes to @tui34 as you face very big changes in your life. I hope that whatever happens will bring you as much happiness as possible.

Sad to hear that the forum is closing. I don't post very often but I do read a lot of the messages and many have been so helpful. Like many on here I have joined Gardeners Corner Forum.
Yes @AnnaB, there are threads on the GC where you can post about things other than gardening. One is called Wakey,Wakey and looks very similar to the Forkers thread and the Resurrected thread here. There look to be other threads, too, that aren’t specifically garden related. A good number of us have joined it. I’m Blue arbour there.😁
