    Morning all

From sunny Lisboa. Our tour has been cancelled 6 minutes before starting time. 😡
Never mind, I am sitting in a park bench and have seen my first swallow of the year. Botanical gardens not far if OH agrees.
Wishing you all a good day.

I hope everything is not as bad as you fear @Allotment Boy.  Hope you slept well in your own bed after such an emotional few days @Lizzie27
Safe journey @Busy-Lizzie - hope your back is up to it.  And glad to hear yours is a bit better @Dovefromabove.
SIL didn't come yesterday - rain stopped play.
I have a meds. review today - they took my bloods last week - hopefully my cholesterol levels haven't changed.

Hi AnnaB, he had his ophthalmology appt today and no change in treatment recommended. He’s pleased with Hubby’s condition. Next appt in 12 mths. 😳

I also meant to add that we’ve still not received any rain for several days.  Damn it!
Tomorrow Hubby has his toenail trimming appt in town. I’ll probably go into town with him to give me a break from being here.  The temps have been in the mid to high 30s for a week or so. I’m fed up with it. 🤬

Morning all, for a welcome change it's not raining here which is very slightly annoying as I've arranged to meet a friend for coffee and chat at a local GC later this morning otherwise I could have pottered in the garden. Never mind, friends are far more important. I changed into clean jeans just now and my goodness, they feel very tight!
That's my sister's good cooking and generous portions I expect, time to go back to watching what I eat.

Hope your journey goes well @Busy-Lizzie and that your back doesn't complain too much.

Good that your back is better @Dovefromabove.

That is such shame @coccinella, was it a walking tour of Lisbon?

We could do with some of your warmth @Pat E. Glad your OH's eye check up went well.

I'm looking forward to having my son stay for a few nights, so must sort out the guest bedroom later.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all

At least it's not raining today.

Trying to recover from a very stressful today yesterday, spent 3 hours speaking to DWP and HMRC about my state pension [ probably most of it was on hold ], different people telling me different things. I am probably being paranoid but I got the impression that they were trying to stop me claiming what is rightfully mine.

Needless to say, I did not sleep well.

Going out into the garden, which will cheer me up.

How can you lie there and think of England

    Afternoon all,

glad your migraine has passed @Badly_Maintained.

It’s blustery but mild here today, though it’s clouding up quite a bit so think we might have a splash of the wet stuff.

Going to the theatre to see The Mousetrap shortly, so I’ve put a chicken curry in the slow cooker for when we get back. There will only be some rice to prepare, so an easy meal.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Devastating news that this Forum is closing. I've been coming here since 2012 and I'll miss it. It was great to chat with gardeners from England when I felt like an isolated English gardener in France. Things have changed a bit since I moved house in France to a place where there is an active gardening club and also I come to England regularly to OH's house.

I can see how the Forum could be a life line to many, apart from the gardening knowledge.
