Morning everyone,  while I welcome your optimism, @Dovefromabove after half a night awake with rain hammering on the windows, any seeds in the ground would just float away at the moment.  Hopefully it will  dry out soon.

Well it feels like April here. Heavy showers with sleet and snow then bright sunshine. Rinse and repeat. Happy St David's Day to our Welsh friends

Morning everybody, thanks to Dove for starting March off for us. It was jolly cold overnight but I didn't want to leave the warmth of the bed to fetch a blanket. Made my shoulder ache so much I couldn't sleep so I eventually had to get out for paracetamol.

I wanted to go into town this morning to collect some shirts I ordered from M&S, sunshine when I got into the shower, heavy rain when I came out so am just waiting to see if it stops.

That's really good news @Busy-Lizzie about OH's visa, will make life much easier for you both.

Do hope we don't get any snow @AnnaB, I don't like the stuff at all!

Oh good, it's brightening up and the rain seems to have lessened so I'll just finish my coffee and dive into town.

    Good morning all,

Thanks @Dovefromabove, as ever starting us off on a cheery note.

Last day of our ski trip, although we're going to visit the village of Chamonix tomorrow, we were going to go up a cable car to see Mont Blanc, but it's terribly expensive and Charlie says the view we had from this side of the mountain can't be beaten. So, we'll just have a mooch around the pretty village, have a nice mountain lunch and then set off slowly back. We're breaking the journey with a night in Clermont Ferrand, then Sunday morning it's just over 2 hours home.

It's snowing here, and although pretty, and great to ski on fresh snow, the visibility is a bit daunting.

    All good fun though.

I hope everyone is well, good luck to everyone with challenges looming.

Just heard from a very damp Wonky … unsurprisingly she’s been rained off 🙄

Rained off from what @Dovefromabove, her gardening job or something else today?

Lovely views @D0rdogne_Damsel but I wouldn't care to be out on a mountain in those conditions.

I got back from town just in time before another heavy shower. Very pleased to find  M&S size 12 striped blue/white shirt fitted me - and in a Petite size as well which means I don't have to take the sleeves up. Miracles do happen sometimes! I can't smugly say it's weight loss though, because I haven't and I was wearing a M & S size 16 jumper at the time. Their sizing is completely up the creek which makes it difficult to order clothes on line. The other annoying thing is that they have a sale on today - just 4 days after my shopping spree on Monday but it's mostly winter stuff and thicker jumpers which I don't like.

Her gardening job @Lizzie27 … she’s not ‘weather-shy’ but it’s been absolutely tipping down this morning. Hopefully the forecast drier spell is arriving about now so she can do some work this afternoon. 🤞

It has finally stopped raining here,  I  have to go out and bail out the patio pond which is on the brink of overflowing.
On another note,  has anyone "seen" @chicky recently  or have I  missed something?.  I  wanted to ask something about her Japan trip, we are off later this month   only 4 years later than planned 😅.

Horrendous rain last night, OH woke up and said it sounded like a lorry trying to drive up the hill. Maybe had some hailstones as well. It was sunny though this morning, a bit cold but we went out anyway. The local roads have rivers running down them, the fields are saturated so the water is just running straight off. The patio soakaway has really been struggling, but the water level is starting to go down.
Im planning another half hour in the garden when my lunch has gone down. I nearly got out there earlier, I was looking out of one window at the sun, but then looked out of the other one and it was pouring! Always looks weird when one half of the garden is having different weather from the other half!
OH is watching Formula 1 qualifying, which is confusing me somewhat. Everything is a day earlier, so I keep thinking it is Saturday today. I’ll wish everyone an enjoyable and productive weekend anyway!

That's really funny @Ergates I've just said exactly the same thing to Charlie, he came down from the mountain and the first thing he did was check the F1. 😅
