Morning all, That's not very nice at all @Dovefromabove keep warm, drink plenty of fluids and I will lob some more tissues over should you need them (they may get a bit soggy on the way though)Ā  :o
It's cold and windy with heavy showers so indoor jobs today and watch some rugby. Have a good day all.

Morning everyone,Ā  dry bright but very white here first thing.Ā  We are a couple of stop outs. We were at a recording of the Last Leg last night, it goes out live on CH4 at 10pm. Oddly though it's a CH4Ā  programmeĀ  it's made at the BBC studios in Elstree just up the road from us.Ā  Good fun if a little ribald in places,Ā  (if you don't know it they look at the last weeks news and poke fun at it where they can, it started as commentary on the OlympicsĀ  in 2012.Ā  Two of the presenters have artificial limbs hence the name). Anyway much talk about Alex Brooker being runner up on the masked singer, he even came on in theĀ  costume,Ā  it was surprising how big the outfit is. Worth all the hanging about for a free night out.
Sorry you got the cold @Dovefromabove, tried not to pass it on . We were both quite ill for a full week,Ā  hope you have a good stock of tissues,Ā  we got through a box each!Ā Ā
Two weeks on we are still a bit snuffly.

Morning everyone, chilly start here today and, yes, it is also raining.

That sounds a bit nasty @Dovefromabove, plenty of rest, lots of fluid and a little comfort food when you feel like it, oh and try to keep it to yourself if you can, none of us need to experience it thank you.Ā

Daughter's ex had a bit of an accent a couple of days ago. He got butted in the face by an angry sheep (they are lambing just now), smashing his front teeth out! Found a dentist to take him (privately) and had the remains of his two front teeth removed and implants done. Very sore and uncomfortable and we are now waiting for the expected two black eyes. Those sweet little woolly sheep can be quite dangerous at times.

Have a good weekend folks whatever you have planned.

    Hi all

Very heavy frost this morning, but a beautiful sunny day.
Need to prepare for the rugby including the big one, England vs. Scotland, can get fractious in this household.
We also need to do a table plan for MIL's birthday bash, 40 people: friends, children, grandchildren and a few great grandchildren.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Oh dear @AnnaB … he was obviously at the wrong end of that ewe! Ā Have I told you that I have a Certificate in Castration & Lambing? Ā Ā

When I was doing Social work and appraisers asked ā€œDo you have any skills or qualifications you’re not using in your current roleā€ that was a fun one to mention šŸ˜‰Ā

If that is you having a rant, @Badly_Maintained, you must be a pleasure to live with!Ā
Hope you recover soon, @Dovefromabove, plenty of rest for you until you feel better.
Hope all enjoy the rugby, and no fighting breaking out at home, @punkdoc! OH is going to record the match, and only watch it later if England win! Best wishes to @BenCotto and @rowlandscastle444 for a speedy recovery.
The sun is out! After a few days going stir crazy at home, we are having breakfast at the Donkey Sanctuary, with a wonderful view and the sea glittering in the sun. We have brought our wellies and will attempt a walk despite the mud.
Ā I will attempt some more gardening this afternoon if I can get out before the next band of rain is forecast. I have found I can only manage about an hour without my back complaining, so I have to pace myself. The good thing about that is that it is easier to grab an hour between other activities or rain showers, so I’m actually getting more done than when I’d try to devote a whole day.

Morning all from a beautiful, sunny but cold South Yorkshire. There was some frost on the shady part of some roofs earlier, but it has melted away now.

I hope you soon feel better @Dovefromabove, šŸ’ (and anyone else who is under the weather).

There will be rugby on the tv here today, too, as OH will be watching it. I won’t be, it’s not something I’m especially interested in, but I’ll keep busy.

Had a good clear out of the spare bedroom yesterday, which we use as a study. In it were an exercise bike and a treadmill that rarely got used, just took up far too much space and made cleaning the room a nightmare. Anyway, they’ve gone to a good home and I’ve got some space back. I’ll also now have room to do my zoom Pilates session in there rather than do a furniture moving exercise downstairs which is what I’ve had to do (I should have muscles like Hercules šŸ˜‚). So, win, win. The room looks enormous now (it really isn’t, though).

Beautiful daffodil display @Badly_Maintained. Such cheerful looking flowers, aren’t they?
Don’t worry about having a ā€œrantā€ (though it didn’t come across as one) - it does you good to get things off your chest sometimes 😊.

Little and often is the way to go with the gardening @Ergates, watch that back of yours.
