Morning all. On the chilly side and heavy rain forecast later.Ā

Little win this morning: there’s roadworks one the M4 (again) this weekend and I got stuck in tailbacks yesterday so today I headed to SM ready for 10:00 opening and missed the traffic! It was building up as I headed home the opposite way.Ā

Porridge and raspberries for brunch now.

Take care all - keep cosy and comfy.Ā

@AuntyRach, I had porridge and blueberries for breakfast this morning!Ā
It’s been pouring all morning here, no possibility of me going out to do any gardening today.Ā
Hope your cold eases, @Dovefromabove. It’s very tiresome.
Ā I can sympathise with the boredom, @coccinella. I’m feeling at a loose end myself this week, there’s plenty of routine stuff to do, but I feel as if time is just passing by and I’m wasting it. I think I’m still in shock over my friend being taken ill, I know I’m running out of time but can’t motivate myself to make the most of what I have. And I feel guilty feeling like this when I’m not exactly ancient, in pretty good health, and have a comfortable home, and loving family, although not as nearby as I’d like.Ā
Hope @BenCotto is feeling better, and that @rowlandscastle444 has had a successful procedure and starting his recovery.Ā

    Hello all.

I hope @Dovefromabove's cold clears up soon.

What a nuisance about the washing machine @floralies. I hope it doesn't mean a new one.

The lawn was silver with frost this morning. The sun is shining but it's still cold.

OH's birthday but we went out for his birthday meal on Friday and did the birthday outing yesterday. I'll cook a nice meal tonight.

    Good afternoon all.

Just waiting for the match to start.  Beautiful sunrise; no wind, 3°C this morning.  Now it is grey and overcast and we have had a shower.  Just as well I took the dog out this morning and planted some chitting potatoes.

Now cuddled up with hottie, blanket and a slightly wet dog. Ā (Dog on floor) Ā At least it was just a shower, I didn't have to wring her out!!

Ā Good you have snow @D0rdogne_Damsel Ā but I think the Alps are good, it's the Pyrenees that haven't been so lucky. Ā Enjoy the break and the aprĆØs-ski.

I have a gluggy cold @Dovefromabove Ā  Wish mine would move on......and out!! Ā Sleep ordered for you @punkdoc but the moon has been full and bright these last few nights. Ā I'd chuck out the herbs in the herbal tea and just put a pinch of Valerian into a mug of hot water!! Ā Enjoy the match!

A pleasant afternoon to you all.

Afternoon all, chilly and wet again although we were fortunate to get out for our usual walk and got nearly back before the rain started. At least we've had some exercise so won't need to feel guilty if we sit down for the afternoon and read. I've also changed our bed and washed the bedlinen. I'm looking out our front window and admiring the pink cherry blossom and white magnolia blooms just appearing so that cheers me up immensely.

That looks like a lot of snow @D0rdogne_Damsel, very enjoyable for you. My son and his family said they had enough for skiing a week or so ago in half term although it was getting a bit thin by the time they left.

Hope the washing machine's behaving itself today @floralies, might it have been a blocked filter?

A nasty accident for your ex son in law @AnnaB and jolly expensive as well.Ā  Have you been able to see your GP yet, hope he can sort you out. I have to go for an ECG next week, not quite sure why, GP being ultra cautiousI expect. He's also prescribed an inhaler for the breathlessness.

Hope your colds soon abate @Dove and @tui34.
