Afternoon all. Hope your brother gets the necessary help @Lizzie27 and can return home as soon as possible. Also best wishes to @floralies, do take care if you are still feeling a bit dizzy. Glad to hear that your nasty cold seems to be getting a bit better @Dovefromabove but dont be in too much of a rush to get back into your normal daily routine, these bad colds can knock you for six somewhat.
Enjoy your trip up country @punkdoc, taking a few days over it will give you and Moira a deserved break after the worries and activities of the past couple of months. And @Hostafan1 you are going to have a busy few days at the end of March - most enjoyable and we are hoping to see pictures.
We have been taking advantage of the recent horrid weather and set about having a clear out of all the stuff we seem to have accumulated in the house over the past few years. We now have a collection of unwanted stuff to be got rid of,Ā  bags of clothes never used but good quality for charity and boxes of stuff that we/or the family might want at a later date which will go up in the attic. Good job done - but, of course, we now have the room to start collecting 'stuff' again. Such is human nature!

Golly, that is a bit worrying @Allotment Boy, let's hope the police catch the persons concerned.

@AnnaB, I seem to have come to a halt with my decluttering - gardening has come to the fore but with all this wet weather, I might just have to start again.

I'm glad your poorly brother is stable @Lizzie27.

We did the weekly shop this morning and I dealt with some washing. Not sure where the rest of the day has gone.

    Evening folks.Ā

    Drizzle all day here šŸ™„
Had a trip into town today and treated myself to a puzzle book - murder mystery logic puzzles. They took a gamble on that niche, and were waiting for me!Ā

Plenty going on with you guys.Ā
Hope your brother is doing ok @Lizzie27.Ā
Have a look on the decluttering thread @AnnaB
    That’s un-nerving @Allotment Boy" - let’s hope those undesirables are caught before another outing.Ā
Hope you are feelingĀ better @Dovefromabove, @floralies and anyone else who has been suffering.Ā

Take care everyone and enjoy the ā€˜bonus’ day tomorrow (leap year). I’ll be spending mine on a 12 hour shift!Ā

Our son stayed overnight and left early to go to a local school to take the photos that his team were booked to take. I’m not sure if he’s coming back tonight or going home to Canberra. We are easy either way.
Hubby had an appointment in town today to catch up with our financial advisor for an annual update. Sounds ok.Ā
Best wishes to you all for the end of Feb.Ā

Well, progress report is that he went home when they’d finished the job. It’s been hot all day, so I don’t blame them for packing up.Ā
On my iPad map, Ā  there are clouds rolling towards us from the west, so fingers crossed that we will get rain. šŸ˜

    Hello everyone

I have now finished all the preps for Friday's scan. We had some nice sunshine yesterday but too tired to do anything. I didn't even feel I could come here to lurk. I have read back and as usual good things and bad ones happen to us all. Sorry to hear about the violence near you @Allotment Boy. Good that the cold is easing a bit @Dovefromabove. @Lizzie27 Best wishes for your brother and those who care for him.
This morning is foggy, don't know what I will do all day.
Hope your shift isn't too tiring @AuntyRach, 12 hours is a lot. Thank you nurses and docs around the world.Ā

OH has made another cup of tea, I will join him. Take care all.

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļø hello @Pat E  😊
I think I’m on the mend … breathing is certainly a bit easier šŸ‘ even if I am still coughing. Ā I slept completely soundly until around 5am which is a real improvement … hopefully I’ll feel less tired today. Ā I’m going to make a Cock-a-leekie in the slow cooker … that should sort me out šŸ˜‰Ā
@Allotment Boy  … not at all nice … it sounds as if it wasn’t totally random … could they have been people he knew and had an issue with? Horrid thing to happen all the same.Ā
    Bless you @AuntyRach šŸ’™Ā

Morning all,Ā  horrible wet morning here again.Ā

From the street WhatsApp it seems a car with two occupants has been noted as lurking around. There is a video showing this car speeding up to the house , they jump out confront him and speed off again. Not sure what they took (probably his phone). It's all over in seconds.Ā  IĀ  am afraid that because there are nice tree lined roads, round here,Ā  the villains think we are all rich, and easy targets, there have been a few incidents on this estate,Ā  car thefts, break ins etc.Ā
