Hurrah! Ā The money for my car has landed in my account ⦠it only lost Ā£100 per year in the 4 years Iāve had it. Ā Mind you, second hand cars have all gone up in price š. The hire car goes back on Tuesday ⦠son is going to help me find a new car but heās got a hectic week this week as itās half term andĀ his boss has a young family, so Iāll be without a car for a while but thatās no problem, we have a good bus service here, and a fellow choir member has already offered to pick me up on Wednesdays. šĀ

Very wet here too. Woke in the night to hear the rain hammering at the bedroom window, not usual so the wind must have been in a different direction. One of our best decisions was to replace our old leaky plastic guttering with galvanised steel ones, in a bigger diameter than the old ones, with 100cm wide downpipes. Pricey, especially as we couldnāt do it ourselves, but itās made such a difference. Poorly friend is causing me some concern, I was pleased she was out of hospital, but now home alone, halfway up a mountain. Sounds fine when I speak to her, but emails are a bit incoherent. Just heard she has a friend coming to check on her, so thatās good. Had some good news about a family member so thatās cheered me up.Ā Our camellias are starting to open up, loads of buds on the row by the front door. This is Swan Lake!
That is good news, @Dovefromabove Moira is doing well, @Lizzie27, concerned about me, but happy I have decided I will attempt to go up to Scotland, plan is to go for a few days before her Mums 90th, for a change of scenery.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
We were going to Oxburgh Hall as it was something we had thought of doing with our friends who haven't come. We've changed our minds, it's tipping with rain and some of the roads around here are already flooded.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Oxburgh Hall is lovely but I agree ⦠not the area to risk driving in during the weather we have at the moment @Busy-Lizzie. Son just rang and told me heāll be coming home in a splitter bus tonight as there are flood warnings out ⦠also he has to leave v v early tomorrow morning
