It will take a lot more than that to offend me Ante. I come from a long line of mariners and rather enjoy a good cuss. My swearing languages are German, French and English. In England I can let fly knowing nobody is likely to understand. Never quite so certain in Germany or France!

I hope that you have a lovely day with the family Hazel and lots of laughter.
Ante, I'm with T'Bird, I don't even count what you wrote as swearing! 30 years of teaching Scousers (children of Liverpudlian origin) and my swearing - only when required you understand, such as when I look out of the window and its pouring down, is bad!
I suddenly realised that I should qualify my statement regarding the pupils I taught. Their language was peppered with swear words which they used frequently - I didn't swear ar them! They would apologise to me if I overheard the swear words and more often the words were used commonly in their chatting to one another. Very rarely were they used insultingly against others.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
We went to the pub quiz last night with our friends down the street who have a house in France, N and B. We won! I was fairly useless, but I did get the 2 medical questions and the 1 classical music one. OH and B were good on geography and history and N was brilliant. We were second last last time but the questions were better for us this time.
We are going to look round a stately home today. They have loads of snowdrops but heavy rain is forecast.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Happy Birthday Hazel π₯ππ₯³ - have a good one.
Congratulations on winning the quiz BL. Don't get drowned visiting the stately home. Are you going to Oxborough? I went with Dove and a couple of other forum members a few years ago (think you were in France at the time of our visit). Carpets of snowdrops - gorgeous.
I have to go to town today to go to the SM and also to get my hair cut and coloured. Slightly concerned about the journey. Will go early and get the SM done and then go to the hairdressers rather than the other way round as I would normally do. (Must remember not to buy frozen stuff!) We had a lot of rain yesterday and a yellow warning for more today and they're expecting lots of problems on the roads later on. Major roadworks close to us add a little spice to the mix. Could be a difficult journey home if I leave it too late.

Good morning everyone . A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL .π ππ₯πΎπΎHave a wonderful day . I hope we get some time in the garden today . Last night it rained heavily .Β
Morning all and many thanks for the birthday wishesππ How did you remember LB?Β Will catch up later as son coming any moment now. Thanks again you lovely people.
You guessed it @Topbird. We were going to Oxburgh Hall as it was something we had thought of doing with our friends who haven't come. We've changed our minds, it's tipping with rain and some of the roads around here are already flooded.

Sounds like a sensible decision BL. My hairdresser messaged me this morning to say she wasn't well and cancelling my appt. That was not really what I needed at this stage of the pre-holiday planning, but a bit of me was relieved that I didn't have to face the journey home tonight. It's been raining all day. Went to Sainsbury this morning and as I drove home at about midday the ditches were threatening to spill over onto the roads.
Β Oxborough Hall car park would have been a quagmire - I think it's all grass isn't it? Maybe not - but it would have been squelchy underfoot for walking round. Sounds like we're going to have a cold, crisp weekend - that might be a nicer time to go.
Got a new hair appt for Tues - phew!
