Good afternoon all. Home from Bestie's. Had a nice time with her but it never stopped raining so I was quite pleased to get home before it started to get even darker. Had to ring my neighbour from across the lane as I had noticed that her offside headlight was missing when I went out to drive to Bestie's. Neighbour was just leaving her drive so it was easily spotted.
Hazel, I am not surprised your BP is high after all you have been through the last few days!
Glad you had a good time with Bestie, LB despite the rain.
It didn't rain here, but I only managed to get into the garden this afternoon. Did 1 1/2 hours of weeding, mulching and planting 18 violas.
This morning there were phone calls and I booked a river cruise on the Danube for October. OH feels he lost time with waiting 4 years for his hip replacement and as he's almost 82 he wants to "seize the day" and enjoy holidays while he can. I'm looking forward to seeing Vienna. I've never been there, though OH has. So that's the Lake District in June and the Danube in October. Can't catch up with @Topbird though!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Busy, I bet you have a great time on the cruise. My brother and SIL went on one last year, a river cruise, ( not the big liner ,) their first time, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Each day they docked somewhere different, had a look around and returned to the deck for evening entertainment or not, as they wished. It was only for a week but long enough for them. You have two lovely things to look forward to now and your OH does right….,seize the day! LB, you mentioning your neighbours car light out has reminded me our car needs to be booked in for its annual service and MOT. We’ve recently just had a light out and got it sorted, that’s what reminded me.Been raining here a little this afternoon but the temperatures have been 17 degrees, would you believe. Most pleasant.
Good morning all. Busy day at work but competent pharmacists made things easier. I spent my shift putting patient details into computer to enable our new filing system to run smoothly, we will soon be able to send a text to patients to tell them their prescriptions are ready for collection. I am not the best with technology but I think it went well. It’s a long job as we have over 30 thousand patients registered with us. Many of them are only for acute prescriptions though.
Warm here yesterday but raining in the afternoon when I finished my shift.
Got my sister calling in for a cuppa later than work. At this time of year when gardening begins to call I do envy you retired folk.
Good morning Debs - your day will come and then you will wonder how you had time to work! 30000 patients is a gigantic number! enoy the natter with your sister.
Cricket was on the garage roof this morning and didn't seem to know how to get down. I left him alone and sure enough, he soon came in through the cat flap to get his breakfast.
Ante, I hope that little cat was OK at the Vet's the other day.
Morning all. Busy, we stayed at Ambleside many a year when our children were younger. We used to hire a cottage for the week and go self catering. We all have very fond memories from there. We used to take the children on hikes and walks around various Lakes, they loved it. Have a Solicitor’s appointment this morning, gawd☹️

I slept much better last night. Maybe the gardening in the fresh air helped. It's rained again. Woken up by the bin men this morning.
Cats nearly always manage to get down from where they've gone up, LB. Wise to let Cricket get on with it.
We will be going to Ambleside. When we went to dinner with our friends they said they had stayed in the same hotel that I've booked!
