Gosh T'Bird, I don't think I have ever heard you say that about your garden!

We haven't got a quiz tonight so we are going out for a curry. I've only been to one of these curry nights before with this quiz team and it was delicious so I'm looking forward to it.

@Songbird-2 sorry to hear about 23, hope he recovers soon, bullying is just never acceptable is it? I too admire teachers it’s not a job I could ever do and I don’t think they get enough support, when my daughter was 10 she was in trouble at school for not paying attention during assembly so she was banned from tv for a week. I told the teacher and she was amazed as none of the other parents had punished their children ( there were about 6 of them all giggling and chatting during assembly) but I felt it was important to support the school.
Lovely 6 hours in the garden yesterday still so much to do but front garden is tidier and more colourful and the patio is clearer too. Light rain here this morning.

Morning all. Just want to clarify, 23 wasn’t bullied,  he was attacked by a pupil who needs specialist support  ( sorry, I don’t know the politically correct term, disability?). -:trust you understand me.
Slept better last night, thank goodness, makes such a difference . Popping round to SIL’s this afternoon, it’s my brother in law as birthday tomorrow. Then we will pop into town. OH out this morning so I will have a gentle potter about. ( trying to reduce the old blood pressure).
Debs, I would have done exactly as you did with your daughter. My parents were the same,if we  got into trouble at school,we got into even more trouble at home!😬

Morning everyone, Had a nice day with the poppets and had a lovely Sunday roast 😋 always tasty when cooked for you 😉
@Songbird-2 I'm so sorry that little 23 has been bullied and attacked. Absolutely awful at any age, but unbelievable at such a young age. Glad that the school is acting so promptly and sorting things out. Do hope 23 wasn't hurt too badly and is ok now.
@Busy-Lizzie have a lovely day at Peter Beales.💐

Morning all. Dry today so I'll try to get outside for an hour or so later on. Lots of flooding and stranded cars in the area yesterday with local police requests not to travel.  The A14 (main trunk road connecting Harwich with the Midlands) near us was closed for several junctions yesterday afternoon and evening due to flooding. Goodness only knows which route was taken by all the freight lorries making their way to Harwich to catch the overnight ferry to the Netherlands. Certainly no route through the surrounding villages.

Hazel - thank you for the further explanation about the incident involving 23. In some ways that sounds like a much trickier situation to resolve. Presumably they are now looking at whether they can allow the attacking child to continue in main stream education if he is hurting other children. How very difficult. Resources for children who need extra supervision (for whatever reason) are incredibly limited in this part of the world and it's probably the same where you are. Must be very distressing for his parents.

    Enjoy your day BL.

Topbird, yes it is a tricky situation and one that will present the school with some very difficult decisions to make. No doubt we will find out what has been decided when schools return after half term and son will let us know. 23’s mum will be all over it that’s for sure.😊🙂 She’s very good.
Have been outside but it’s quite windy although the suns out. I am dying to get the broad beans planted out, they are growing so well and are already quite tall. Another month should do it once the soil has warmed up.
Your area Topbird seems to have been hit hard by the recent rains, I do  so sympathise with those places who seem to get a battering be it wind or rain, flooding or snow. We have a road closed here this week for three days ( maintenance) and it’s already causing untold  mayhem on the roads as folks try to find an alternative route !

    Good afternoon,

A fine day here with some sunshine, but it’s quite breezy. Our neighbours cloth things are blowing well on the string 😁.

Pleased the school are acting on the issue, @Songbird-2. It’s very difficult for so many schools these days dealing with children with specific needs but unable to get the necessary outside support to make sure those children get the help they need due lack of funding and availability of places, but to also ensure that the other children are also able to go through their school day productively and unharmed.

Good afternoon all. Managed to get some tidying up in the back garden done - helped (hindered) by Cricket who thought it was a great idea mugging me every chance he got. He investigated the greenhouse and garage and climbed in and out of every possible container. Hilarious company. I am going to sign out early - need to decide on what to wear tonight - anything dark!
Enjoy your evenings and I'll see you all in the morning.
I hope Busy has enjoyed her day.
