We had a lot of juggling with appointments too when OH was waiting for his hip replacement and appointments were cancelled because of Covid. He got very stressed and his BP went up so then they had to investigate that and sent him to a heart consultant and a lung consultant which delayed his op even more. In between that we were going to France when we could, and being separated some of the time because of Covid, because I am French resident. Eventually, 4 years after seeing thd Doctor he had his hip replacement.

Life can be complicated. I also moved house in France during that time, downsized, made a new garden, made improvements to my new French house, well the builders did the main work and I painted after them, and I painted every room in OH's cottage in Norfolk during the first lockdown.

Afternoon all. I have spotted the first flower on my big Camellia this afternoon and more and more snowdrops are putting in an appearance. Spring is just around the corner. Been across to see Jack and sorted out some forms for him. His daughter has asked me to look after her two cats for a week - starting on 7th February - as she is off to Benidorm and, of course, I will be keeping an eye on Jack.
Busy, I do remember that stressful time when your OH was waiting for his hip replacement.
I notice that the new series of Gardeners World starts tonight. I am looking forward to watching that.

After I wrote all that I felt a bit guilty boring you all about it again.

It isn't really the new series of GW, Ladybird, it's a series of compilations. The real new series starts on 15th March.

I pruned 5 roses this afternoon, then it started to get dark.

Busy, it wasn't in the least bit boring and thank you for correcting me regarding GW. In my VW listing they do mention that they are looking back at some seasonal highlights. At least it will 'feel' like we are creeping ever closer to Spring.

I hope so, LB, though there is still a while to go before March. I have some snowdrops out and lots of daffodil shoots.

The new, second hand, wardrobe came, quite a struggle for the 2 men carrying it upstairs. I have put my summer dresses and my evening gown in it and the bags and stuff that were on the bottom of the wardrobe in our bedroom. I've tidied up the guest bedroom as an old school friend is coming to stay next week.

Snoopy Woodstock Good Morning Everyone Happy Saturday
Hello there everyone. Hope you all have had a reasonable sleep last night and Hazel, I hope you have got over your sickness feeling. Hoping to get my Bird Watch done today - it doesn't seem quite as breezy as yesterday - time will tell though.

Morning all. Travelling back on the lunchtime plane to Heathrow. Due to the current 6 day train strike (only announced Monday night so we didn't realise till we got here on Wednesday) we are having to leave lots of extra time for the journey to the airport. Thank goodness for modern technology and the transport apps which allow you to work which trams, undergrounds and busses are running and to buy the required tickets.

There was also another demo by German farmers concerning government subsidies. Demo involved hundreds of tractors and farm vehicles travelling in convoy along the U-bahns and then into Berlin and all round the city centre roads to end up at the Brandenburg gate. Big police presence to manage the traffic. It was an interesting sight but very disruptive.ย

Had a good day yesterday visiting the Reichstag, Brandburg Gate etc and spent a wet afternoon in an excellent museum about the rise of the Nazi party and the resulting atrocities. Had a light dinner back in our room.

    A short but good trip!

Good morning T'Bird. You have managed to squeeze a lot into your mini break. It must have been quite emotional at times. I trust that your journey home - although a magical mystery tour - goes smoothly and the app experience proves to be reliable.
