LB, hope everything will be in order with blood test today, and without rain at least on the way to village and back.
Hazel, new blanket sounds so warm and cosily, although I'm not expert for wool and knitting.
It's still a bit dark outside, but another sunny day is on the way. According to forecast, next week will be almost like late spring. I have so many things to do outside, and one big project in the house. You will be inform on the time, don't worry. I have my cup of tea, and there is still a half an hour till I must go to work.
A very good morning Ante and all to arrive later. I do have to smile Ante as despite my wishes I can see water running down the outside of my window so I am guessing it is raining! It's a good job I'm waterproof!
I am very curious to learn about your new, big project Ante
Hazel, that yarn sounds lovely.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all thanks for your good wishes. Funeral yesterday was a lovely service and extremely well attended.
Day off today and like @Ladybird4 I am hoping for a dry day to get into the garden, the high winds blew over my bird feeder and there is bird food everywhere which I wouldn’t mind except that it’s definitely attracting rats. I have seen 2 on the patio. I don’t want to harm them but I can’t be encouraging them either so patio needs a sweep and tidy up.
@Ante1 I look forward to hearing more about your mystery project
Morning everyone, Still too dark to see outside, but it's not raining. Probably will later, I'm having my haircut this morning. Oh dear @Ladybird4 how much longer is it before Cricket can go outside. He'll be playing in the garden for ages when he does. Hope blood test goes OK and it stops raining for you. @Ante1 how nice to have some sunshine. Are you going to do some decorating......Shhhh, don't tell Hazel 🤫 @Songbird-2 I've just Googled your new wool, looks beautiful. So soft and copy. What colour do you have. Not heard of that wool before, will look lovely when it's finished. Have a good day everyone, take care.
Morning all. Raining again here, if it’s not windy it raining…… Ante1,I am intrigued, wonder what you are up to then? 🧐🤔 SGL, I chose a white colour for the wool. Started onto the pattern last night, I need to concentrate on this as its new,so slow work. Debs, I spilt some bird seed a while ago and discovered all sorts of little seedlings popping through the soil.Good luck with your tidy up. Biglad, you haven’t got long to get that tax return done, spit spot now!
Good morning everyone .I am up late again . Ante enjoy your sunny day .
LB ,love the cartoon .Wrap up if you are walking into the village .
Debs enjoy your day off .We occasionally see mice in the garden ,haven’t seen rats .I can understand you not wanting to encourage them .I don’t dislike them but wouldn’t want them near or in the house . Too much paperwork gives me a headache BigLad.I hope that you have a break during the day .
It’s a much brighter day today and after a dullish start we now have some blue sky and sunshine. Everything looks so much better with a bit of sun shining on it.
Been doing a few unmentionable jobs but all finished now and time for a sandwich for lunch, then perhaps a short walk to make the most of this pleasant weather.
You are wise to clear up the food @debs64 to deter the rats but if you see them again you may well need some specialist help to get rid of them - they can do an awful lot of damage plus carry nasties as I’m sure you’ll know. We had to resort to help recently when we had one (probably more) in the garden and getting too close to the house for my liking. Sadly, we’ve stopped feeding the birds for some time now, after having rodents coming into the garden. (Still didn’t stop that opportunistic one though, hence the need to contact the council for help).
@Red maple I have 2 cats both of them often kill young rats so I don’t anticipate any real problems once the weather improves and the kitty cats are out there hunting again. It seems a shame as I saw a lot of blackbirds coming to the spilt food also but I won’t be popular with the neighbours if I encourage rats.

Have peeked outside, it's not foggy this morning, but looks very grey. No frost either.
Even busier week than usual - more work folk to pay and the dreaded tax return to get done by tomorrow night
Of course that means the weather is great for gardening today
