There was just over Β£100 in my 'tax account' once they'd knocked off the Β£2 so I took out the Β£100 and left a bit in to cover next year @Ladybird4
Just finished my work day - still starting the day in gloom and finishing in darkness! My only escape outside was to put out the 2 recycling bins and get them back in.
@Biglad, at least they won't have blown all over the show like last week. I have been carefully tending an amaryllis that I had completely forgotten about and left to its own devices. I had cut back all the dead leaves last year and then ignored it. Just out of curiosity, when I found the plant pot again I decided to give it a drink. For weeks nothing happened and then three days ago I noticed a little green spear of a new leaf. Today I have spotted a second new leaf. It will not do anything more than grow leaves this season but I am determined to get it fed and happy. It deserves that after my neglect. Nature is wonderful!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Crumbs LB, what mistakes have been made at/by the hospital? Poor you. Hope things get sorted soon for you. Try not to worry. Biglad ππ Signing out for now. Night all.Β
What ho @Biglad. I have a sneaking suspicion you might be able to get into the garden today. First Friday of the month and it is another Quizzers meal today. Friends are picking me up at about 12:20 so I'm looking forward to hot gossip and catching up.

Good morning everyone.Big Lad I hope you are able to do some gardening today . LB so sorry you have had such problems re hospital and doctors .Fingers crossed that the medics sort things out for you quickly . You can do without that stress .
We went to Norwich yesterday as my friend wanted to go to the market, John Lewis, M&S and shoe shops. She rarely does that sort of shopping as she lives near a small village in the Yorkshire Dales. She changed her mind about visiting the Cathedral. We had lunch at The Lamb, 2nd oldest pub in Norwich. We had a good day.
Today we are going to lunch at our favourite pub restaurant in Suffolk, but first friend and I are going for a long walk in the fields behind our cottage.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Got car back last night- it was the alternator at fault so OH is going to garage to settle up whilst I stay in. We have two parcels coming today- early- so deliveries must be getting back to normal now.Β
Next job is to get my bike in for repairs. I canβt blow up one of the tyres so think it needs new valve. Going to try and get out on bikes this year when Β the warmer weather comes. We both do enjoy it.Β

It's that time where it's probably too late to go to bed and try to get back to sleep.
My main body of work is done for the week so today SHOULD be relatively light. Will sneak into the garden if the weather plays ball.
