Hi Hazel. Friend will help my with tiles in summer kitchen, those on patio I'll do myself. For painting I'm counting on you.😁 Hope you and your OH are well. I didn't read back, so I don't know what it's new in last two days.
I’m still up for a bit of painting Ante, no worries there😂….. but after we’ve done our hall, stairs and landing😂 Ah, thought your friend was doing the patio tiling but still a good help for you. We are fine thank you….touch wood.🤞🤞Blowing a gale outside, horrible. Rubee, I’ll take a photo of blanket and post it for you. Do you mean the Flutterby wool one?
Yes that’s the one Hazel . That is lovely Hazel . You have knitted that quickly . I think I would like to make one of those when I have finished my latest throw .Love the pattern by the way .
Thank you @Rubee. It does knit up pretty quickly, same as the new one I have just started today. Being chunky wool I have almost knit up a 100gm ball already.😳 The pattern is just blocks ( I used a 15 stitch pattern ,per block) of knit and purl, ( every “even” number row was just all knit) …dead easy. Signing off for today. Wind is still howling so am expecting an interrupted night again,😒 Night all.
A very good morning one and all. I really enjoyed the quiz last night - for once the questions seemed more balanced in that there was a wide range of subjects covered. Last season they seemed very narrow with many questions about wars and America. My friend says he is slowly learning all the state capitals!
I heard the news about the King and his cancer diagnosis and the death of Ian Lavender just as I was leaving for the Quiz. I do hope that the King will be OK. I loved Dad's Army ad can still watch and enjoy the episodes. Quite often I get glimpses of things I have missed. He made Captain Mainwaring's saying 'You stupid boy' a catch phrase still used today - at least in my family.
Glad Busy that you (and T'Bird) got your roses pruned - I've still to finish mine.
Ante, I hope that your friend makes a good start on the tiling and you take care that your cold doesn't get any worse. What work did you manage to get done in your garden?
Hazel, that blanket looks beautiful and oh so snuggly!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning all. I think Snoopy should incur the wrath of Col T😂😂 He’s doing unmentionables……. Pouring with rain this morning and we have to go to recycling centre. Think we may pop in at a local family run garden place on way home. They do some nice plants and they are very reasonable price wise. LB, thank you for kind words about blanket.
Up earlier than usual to take OH's van for service. Then he's off to Yorkshire - partly to see his mum but mainly to get his aviation medical completed. What with my car service & MOT later this month, February will be an expensive month...😬
Was thinking I'd try to at least finish the roses today but it's blowing a hooley out there and I hate gardening in the wind. It may happen, it may not...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
