It is quite foggy here this morning, with the associated dampness. I hope this clears up soon so, like Biglad, I can get some work done in the garden. I am getting withdrawal symptoms. When I went down to my compost bins yesterday I was disappointed at the muddy wallow around the pond - through which, I might add, there seem to be more flag iris spears than ever! Grrrr!

@Ladybird4 I went for 3 shades of yellow, they all smell amazing.
Any tips on success with snowdrops gratefully received.
Off out for lunch with 2 of my sons today, my final birthday celebration.

Debs, when it comes to planting out your snowdrops just make a hole the same size as the pot and transfer the clump of snowdrops directly to the hole. There are usually between 3-5 snowdrop plants in a 9cm pot so there is no need to divide them. They will be much happier in the garden and will spread over the years. Have a lovely time with your sons.

Good morning everyone. LB I had many snowdrops fail because I bought them dry in the autumn.
Debs have a good time with your sons today.
I hope to do a bit of gardening if the weather allows.

    Good morning all.

I'm late on parade this morning, but there was a few chores which couldn't wait. I know that Col TT is behind the corner, but I vacuumed and polish my car. Tomorrow is MOT. It rained whole night, but now is not too bad outside. Now is time for short break, and then I might go out in the garden.

A very good morning all. I hope that you are all ready for Shrove Tuesday tomorrow. This seems to be SO early but I have got my pancakes ready and I will be squeezing some lemons today. Jack told me that he had had a pancake yesterday and enjoyed it. I didn't get much sleep last night and seemed to spend many hours reading. I am quizzing tonight so hope I don't nod off!

Good morning all. Delicious meal with my sons yesterday and they insisted on paying for fiancé and myself. Also got a very generous marks and spencer voucher and some beautiful lilies so I feel very loved and spoilt. I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by people who care for me.
Back to work today. I have decided to cancel my bus pass as it’s £55 a month and fiancé is often able to pick me up from work or take me so should be a saving. I can pass any savings onto him for diesel.
Sun is shining so I am planning an hour in the garden to gird my loins for work.

Morning all. Rough weekend and feeling like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards. However, I must shake myself off as I have a telephone appointment this morning so need to have a clear head.
Debs, what a lovely family you have and glad you’ve had a great time with family yesterday and good meal. Hope you have a good spend with the M and S voucher.
LB, don’t think we will have pancakes this time, still not very confident with our gas cooker having used an electric one all my life. Sorry you had a bad nights sleep.
