SGL, it’s nice to know you have a good support network from your friends as well as family and hope it is helping. Enjoy your time with friend today.
LB, Cricket must be hardy to venture out into the cold and rain😂 Rather him than me.🙂
Red Maple, hope the snow has gone this morning, we have been very lucky being just on the edge of it all and have missed it. Yes, you have to keep a canny eye out for that COL T, any speak at all, even a whisper of unmentionables and he zooms out of the cupboard😂😂😂

    Good morning all,

Yes @Songbird-2, all the snow has gone, thank goodness. We had a lot of heavy rain through the night (got quite windy, too) but it’s fine for now although quite foggy over the fields and very chilly. I don’t think we’ll be going too far today.

A bit of cheer in the garden though as a lovey pinky/red camellia has opened out bringing a lovely splash of colour, which I can see from my chair. There are plenty more buds on the bush but they’re still tightly closed. I wish it would start to warm up a bit, but I suppose we can’t expect much warmth at this time of year, although I’m getting tired of having to muffle up well before going outside.

The support of good friends and family are invaluable aren’t they @star gaze lily? I’m so pleased you have good ones to support you.

Cricket certainly seems to be finding his feet now, @Ladybird4.

Well, I’d better go, I’ve got a few unmentionables to be getting on with 😂.

I’ve got the unmentionables done and also the GP surgery has contacted me about the E Consult. Appointment made for next week to be seen and checked over. I can’t complain at service received today, twice contacted by surgery.  Much improved since my last encounter with the surgery.
    Still raining and cold.

Afternoon all. It has been another rain filled day today. I nipped across to check on Jack. He is fine. He had had a home visit from Spooksavers and has been prescribed some new specs. He had enjoyed the instant cheese sauce granules I introduced him to yesterday with his favourite cauliflower but hasn't opened his pancakes yet though I think he might do today!
I received further bad news about the building company who have put in an application to build 57 homes on the fields at the back of our houses. I've already lodged my opposition with the council but I'm not holding my breath. I have no idea where the roe deer will go.

Lovely pic Rubee, they look most comfortable there. Don’t envy you trying to shift them at bed time😂
Had a quiet evening knitting and am signing off for now. Night all.

    Lovely photo, Rubee.

We've had a fairly awful day going to Wandsworth to apply for OH's French Visa. Thanks to all who voted Brexit. I drove the first part of the journey, tipped with rain, loads of traffic, first rush hour then the M25 and more loads of traffic. OH took over driving half way. Took 4 hours. Then OH spent 3 1/2 hours at the Visa place, mostly waiting in queues, only hard backless seats provided. He saw various different personnel and had his fingerprints and a photo taken. He gave in his sheaf of paperwork and his passport. I just hope they send it back in time for our journey back to France mi-March.

I had a better time than OH as I went to Sainsbugs and bought stuff like Marmite and Yorkshire tea to take back to my children in France. I also went to Next and bought a couple of tops and a pair of jeans. I was glad I bought sandwiches and drinks in Sainsbugs as OH hadn't had anything since coffee in bed early in the morning. We had a quick picnic in a service station.

The journey back was more of a nightmare, congestion, accidents on the M25. We couldn't take the exit we wanted as the road was closed. Luckily we found out first via the traffic news so we were able to take the A1 instead. Also it was dark most of the way. It took another 4 hours. I was glad I had an easy meal to pop in the oven when we returned home. Also raspberries and cream from Sainsbugs. OH has gone to bed.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good morning all.

What a lovely photo Rubee. I bet you didn't move them.

Grey morning, but dry and warm. It's painting day Hazel, where are you. 😁 I have few tasks on my to do list, but tea first. Spring is definitely here. There is a lot of flowers in my garden. I know it will be more cold and windy days, but winter is on the end.

    Almond trees are in blossom.

Ruby, what a super picture! Thank you for sharing. They all look so comfortable. I bet it is like having 3 hot water bottles on your bed.
Goodness me Busy, your day sounds like it was a real nightmare but at least it is now done. I think you and your OH deserve a nice, quiet day today.
Ante I hope that you get all the big jobs finished today and you can have a rest tomorrow.
