    Good afternoon all,

Iโ€™ve just got back from going to the postbox and itโ€™s a lovely, bright afternoon, but very chilly especially since the breeze has picked up a bit.

I might get the hot metal thing out later (or maybe not ๐Ÿ˜) as my OH had an argument with his cup of tea yesterday and spilt it all over his jumper, shirt, jeans, seat cushion and floor. Luckily, he didnโ€™t burn himself, but it meant lilys tv had to go on.

Sounds like your day out with your family was another lovely treat for you @debs64.ย

I hope those of you suffering from sleepless nights have a better night tonight.

    Hello all.

I slept well last night after a couple of not so good nights.

It's a lovely sunny day today so I've been gardening. I'm emptying the contents if the big compost bin onto the flower beds. It's a bit tricky getting the compost out as it's a big plastic dalek with a hole at the bottom which isn't big enough. It was started 2 years ago, garden waste, kitchen waste, some autumn leaves and mowings. I'm surprised at how long it's taken to rot down and it still isn't as good as I'd hoped. The small bin makes better compost.

Come in for a doughnut and a cuppa.

  • Not been having very good nights here either. First it was the worry of not getting the necessary hospital appointments, then it was so many hospital appointments, then it was not being able to obtain the correct medication which is out of stock, then the worry that surgery and related appointments will be postponed, now it's a second medication out of stock, along with the replacement med for the first one - which wasn't suitable anyway, but had to suffice.

The shortage is Europe wide. It's not just local!

Afternoon all. Well my 50 snowdrops in the green arrived today and I got them divided up and planted in groups in the front garden. The sun was shining but it was bitterly cold. I had to put on an extra coat. The ground was absolutely sodden and I disturbed some lovely fat earthworms. At least I didn't have to water them!
Great news about your lovely day Debs! You must be a veritable youngster Debs if you don't have your free bus pass yet!ย
Hazel, I hope your telephone appointment went better then mine!ย .ย  I cheat with my pancakes and buy the packs of sweet pancakes from the supermarket. They are so much easier than making your own. 20+ seconds in the microwave and they are good to go. There are 8 in the pack from 'sco and it was a pack of those I gave to Jack the other day.
Oops @Red maple, that could have been nasty. Glad your OH avoided being scalded.
Busy, I have two compost bins too and when I yomped down to them yesterday, the contents of my larger bin fitted your description to a 'T'. I think it needs a few more years yet before I have the lovely, friable stuff Monty seems to produce.
Gosh @rowlandscastle444 - seriously but I was just thinking about you today whilst planting my snowdrops. Wondering how you were doing and what new treasures you may have seen popping up in your new garden. Good to see you but your tale of unobtainable meds reminded me that 3 years ago I had a very similar experience. It was a very anxious time so I can appreciate how you must be feeling. Fingers crossed a solution is found for you - and soon.
I am signing out for today and getting my brain in gear for tonight.Enjoy your evenings and I'll see you all in the morning.

Have a good evening LB. Youโ€™ve done a good job planting all the snowdrops. It looked lovely outside here from inside, but, like you, it was cold outside. Telephone appointment was as expected, not that brilliant.
Rowlandscastle, nice to see you but sorry to read about your medical troubles. Nightmare when correct canโ€™t be given. A lot of us seem to be having medical issues at the moment. Hope yours ease soon.
Spoke to mum today, sheโ€™s as fit as a fiddle. Wish I felt as good as her and had half her energy.๐Ÿ™‚

    Good morning all.

We have beautiful spring morning, unlike yesterday. Everything went well with car MOT, but there is always certain unpleasant feeling before, despite how your car is old or new. Later I went to the cottage, but land is soaked and it was impossible to work outside. We get a bit wet during the walk in woods. Typicall Monday. Tomorrow afternoon I have appointment at vet with one little cat. It's nothing serious. On the way back I might stop at GC.ย
Now I must finish my cup of tea and get ready for school. Wish you all a lovely day and see you later.ย  ย

Good morning Ante and all arriving later. Oh Ante, I always feel nervous when I have my car in for its MOT just in case they find something big and expensive that needs doing. I hope that little cat does not get too stressed with her Vet visit. I wonder what will jump into your bag at the GC
I enjoyed the quiz last night, especially when it seemed that my Latin lessons at school came in handy when I had to answer a question about the meaning of the Nullarbor Plain.
