It's blowing a hooley here too so pruning the New Dawn rose may have to wait. May do Souvenir de Dr Jamain as it's more sheltered there and I don't need a ladder as it's trained sideways.
May do the weekly shop, either today or tomorrow.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
We did the weekly shop this morning. This afternoon the friend down the road who has a house in France came to help OH with all the paperwork for his French Visa and explain the best way to drive to Wandsworth. I just played jigsaw puzzles on the computer while they were dealing with it. We are going to the Visa office on Friday, I think we are both rather dreading it. I don't think I'll be allowed in so I'll look at nearby shops, there is a huge Sainsbugs.

Busy, I must say that I agreed with 'big shop either today or tomorrow' which was your dilemma - that was mine too. However, unlike you I'll go tomorrow as it has never stopped raining here today. Nothing to say it won't be like that again though. I baked some chocolate brownies today and took half a dozen across to Jack for he and Jackie to have one after their dinner with the rest for Jack. As well as cat watch I'll be on Jack watch from tomorrow for a week. I hope that all goes smoothly on Friday for you and your OH. Is there a specific reason they won't let you in Busy?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB, in last two day I finished foundation for new patio, cut back all dead and dry plants, and sown few more seeds.Β
I'm finished for today. Floor tiles in summer kitchen are all done, and now we must wait at least one day adhesive to dry. It means that tomorrow I'll have completely free afternoon. Hope till Sunday all will be finished. Next Monday I also have MOT with my car, and when it pass I'll have few worries less.Β
Hope you all had a lovely day. I'll have a cup of tea and another early night. See you all tomorrow.Β
Yikes T'Bird! That certainly does sound like an expensive time for you both. Unfortunately, at times like that we just have to grin, bear it and pay up!
Well done on your hard work Ante. I don't know how you combine your teaching job with all the other work you do! Once I got home from work, finished my marking and lesson planning I would be comatose. I am signing out for this evening too. See all you lovely lot in the morning.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
A very good morning one and all. Wouldn't it be cheery if there was some good news on the TV occasionally? It does make me realise that I am actually very lucky with my 'little lot'. Today I was supposed to be looking after two extra cats but apparently Jack's great granddaughter is looking after them for the next two days so my cat sitting will start on Friday. I might get that shopping trip done today!

Morning everyone,Β A very wet and windy night last night. Not so breezy at the moment but still raining. Seeing a friend this morning.Β Hope you're all well and have a good day.Β Take care everyone.
Morning all. LB, good that you get two days without the need to look after the cats. Does Jacks daughter live near him as I wondering where the cats were/live normally? The news is very grim Β nowadays and one has to be thankful.Β We are popping into town this morning, Iβm running out of wool again. Roll on the warmer days when I can lay the needles down for a whileπ Hope you enjoy the morning with your friend SGL, can you try and put a few world problems to right please?π Have a good day everyone whatever youβre up to.Β

There was a very loud helicopter noise this afternoon. I think it was King Charles on the way to Sandringham.
