Good morning Busy, Ruby, Hazel and SGL. It looks as though it is going to turn out nice now. I may get into the garden this afternoon. Have been doing some unmentionables and have decided that I really do HATE hw.
More and more bulbs are peeking through and I've ordered 50 snowdrops in the green to add to my garden. I will be able to split up some of my own clumps too as these have been getting bigger and bigger as the years have passed. I always buy more snowdrops every Spring - can't resist them.

Affixes all. What a beautiful day we have. We didn’t get any plants from the garden centres but had a good browse round and came home with odds and ends,,pots, dahlia tubers, cakes, a birthday present for SIL, grit and so on. When we got back we were shattered but after dinner OH decided he was going to give cutting the grass a go. He adjusted the blade to very high and managed to get front and back done! Beginning of February, it’s mad. But it was mightily long and OH had to really use sleeping muscles and will probably ache like mad tomorrow. The smell of grass was glorious.
SGL, sorry you haven’t slept well, can’t say we are sleeping that well at the moment, seems to be a phase we’re going through of multiple wakenings during the night. Hope you manage to get outside for some fresh air, even if it’s just having a walk around the garden.
LB, the snowdrops will look a delight when all in flower. Our new ones are just opening the flowers now but they’re very tiddly and delicate looking yet. Hopefully, if we manage to keep them going out of season, they may look a bit more substantial next year.
Good morning all. Well last night was absolutely wonderful. It very much had a Northern Soul theme running through it and the live band - Northern Soul Train - were just brilliant. When they walked into the suite where the event was taking place they reminded me of gangsters . They were all in suits and I was looking for the violin case holding a machine gun! Whilst this was an event celebrating the Golden Wedding of some friends, it was also their way of generating money for a local Hospice. The food was delicious. I haven't danced so much for years!

It's wild here at the moment and we have a gutter flapping in the wind No surprise that it's on the extension rather than the original house. I've got a low opinion of the builders who did our extension 20ish years ago. The rest of the guttering might well be the original from 1971.
Morning @Biglad. That loose guttering must be really annoying because you know it has to be sorted and getting hold of someone if you cannot manage it yourself is all a load of faff you can do without.

It sounds a great evening LB, though I'm not good at dancing. I would have enjoyed watching you 🙂.
The guttering on my French house needs replacing too. It's plastic and has holes in it from that huge hail storm in 2022. Some people are still waiting to have their roofs replaced. CB the handyman thinks he can do it.
My friend left yesterday morning and I spent nearly 2 hours gardening yesterday afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Bit fresher here this morning but I’m going to get out in the garden and try and finish tidying up a border I started the other day. Must also pot on the broad beans. Going to try and have a quieter day today and both OH and I are rather tired. The other day I took some vertical blinds down and washed them, now it’s shown up all the rest so that’s a job that will need doing slowly, slowly as it’s a mission. LB, that sounds like a wonderful evening. I love a real band and I, too, would have been up on my feet and danced the night away. Glad you had a great time.

Can't beat a good night out @Ladybird4

Hoping to get to the local GC later.
