They’ll help, then @debs64. We don’t have a cat, but lots of neighbours cats visit, however, they’re not very good at mousing or rat catching 😁. It’s just such a shame that we’ve had to stop putting food out for the birds.

Good afternoon all. I enjoyed my walk up to the village this morning. I hope that the results of my blood test come through as quickly as last time - i.e. the next day.
SGL, Cricket has got just short of a fortnight now before he can explore the great outdoors. I think he is ready now but I will take the advice given.
I have been checking on my snowdrops and daffodils and there are going to be some lovely clumps out very soon now. The honeysuckles are getting out of hand and definitely need some taming. More buds are opening on my large Camellia in the back garden. You just watch, we'll get some frost and the flowers will look like tea bags.
I have taken advantage of the pleasant weather and had Lily's TV on. Sun has disappeared now so I'll be watching for the first signs of dusk and then bringing the cloth things in.

    Afternoon all.

I just came in after very pleasant afternoon in the garden. It was quite warm on the sun. SGL must have spies around my house because she knows exactly what I'm going to do.😁 This year is turn for summer kitchen to remodel. I don't need to say that small patio project is only 1/3 finished. All must wait, because one of my neighbor passed away, and it's not polite to make noise, at least till funeral is over. In small towns it's all sorted in two or three days.

We did the shopping. It was only 7C on the way home. I thought the weather was supposed to be getting warmer.

Son 2 went to see my old house. He sent a load of photos on WhatsApp. Loads of trees have been cut down along the 1 km drive, other owners, also trees that the new Dutch owners must have cut down. The house is shuttered up and looks very neglected. I had a look at French estate agents and found it had been for sale but withdrawn, photos and price removed but description still there. It wasn't on Rightmove. I wonder if they've sold it. I wonder what happened. Son didn't dare go close to the house as there are cameras. I rather wish he hadn't put it on the Family WhatsApp as there was a lot of family friction when I sold it. It was far too big and a bottomless pit. I could never have afforded to have kept it, such a relief when it sold.

Ah ha Ante! You must have forgotten what detectives we are on Rez! SGL is so right - don't let Hazel know! Sorry to hear the news of your neighbour.
Busy such a shame to see what has become of your old home but I think you did right if you were just rattling around in it and it was a money pit.

LB, but I want that Hazel find out. I have a lot of painting and simply hate it. Hazel, if you read, I have paint, brushes, completely free upstair flat and sun. Just ring before you arrive.😂

@Ante1, they made me laugh! I’d love to come and do your painting, ( in beautiful Croatia and the lovely flat, heaven. …) ( and you can finish the patio project ) .. it’s ours I just can’t be bothered with😂 but- it must be done this spring, it must be. 😳

Busy, I know the feeling about old homes and changes that are done.
Have been in the garden all afternoon as the sun was shining and it wasn’t cold. Got quite a bit done and am nicely tired now. Dying to get grass cut, it’s really tall in places. Will need to take a sythe to it first😳😂😂
Ante…. Meant to say I was so sorry to read about your neighbour. Hope you’re ok. Take care.
