Oh Hosta you might as well use chip oil it would be cheaper.  :D

Freezing all day here too -5 inside the greenhouse this morning.  I have been in the garden most of the day, my Acer man from Capel came to show me again what I should be doing with them. Unbelievably the Sap is still up or has come back, they are supposed to be dormant at this time of year,  they obviously haven't  read the script. !!

Morning everyone. Saturday is tip day, so hubby will be going for a little drive shortly.  Fine and temps in the 20s. Ok.

Hello @Pat E, that weather sounds very nice, cant wait for our temperatures rise a bit although our next problem seems to be storm Isha arriving over the weekend bringing strong/ gales force winds with it.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    Sounds perfect @Pat E  😊
+2C here in Norfolk … don’t think it’s been this warm in a while … but the wind is on its way …
keep those hatches safely battened folks … glad we had the ash tree pollarded.
    More coffee needed ….

Just been watching the sunrise over Cromer again … glorious … the colours spread right across from east to West Runton and were reflected in the water. 😊

    Morning all.

    Very frosty in south Norfolk.

I slept really well, went to bed at 10.30pm, didn't even go to the loo until 6.30pm. Hasn't happened for years. I did almost nothing yesterday, not even a walk, must have been very tired.

A load of ironing is waiting, but I like ironing.

Morning all, -4 here, I can't keep up with it, the weather is changing all the time.
The Great tits are flitting about under our covered terrace looking for spiders etc. I have the dried meal worms soaking for them, as they seem to prefer them moist.
Not much planned for today except to help OH with a curtain that is falling down.
Stay safe all I see you have a storm coming in.

    Good morning all!!

Yes - cold here too with a bitter wind but we have some sun today!!

Sounds as if you needed to catch up on some sleep @Busy-Lizzie  That will set you right to a while!!
That is indeed good news @D0rdogne_Damsel about OH going to Portugal.  He may like it so much, he will decide to live there!!!
Hello to @Pat E  Weather seems to be getting warmer for you.  I wonder what our summer will be like this year?  Hotter and hotter so I believe.

X-rays and a visit to the surgeon yesterday.  No bones cracked, shattered.  The protheses is firmly in place still.  The surgeon isn't bothered with muscle damage but knows that I have overstretched the thigh and femoral muscles.  I didn't dare mention the sinful word "physio" to him!!  As for the painful hip and right knee - x-rays to do in 6 months and a visit - again.  Seems there is still cartilage and in both and operations are out of the question still.  So I shall still suffer on those off days.

PS  I will continue to rest for my slipping accident - it is paying off - as long as I rest and keep a hottie on the thigh.  Just can't start doing too much otherwise it gets painful.

Haven't heard from @punkdoc for a while - are you all right?  Are you training for the marathon around the block?  I hope your pain is under control and you are on the road to recovery.

I prepared a flap of lamb with vegetables in the slow cooker last night.  It smells delicious because I started adding cardamon seeds, then some cumin, then some spices I bought in India......

The top half of France is under snow also and experiencing extreme conditions.  Schools closed, transport to a halt etc.

Keep warm everyone.  I hope you get to the supermarket @coccinella !!  Have a lovely weekend.

Bright and cold here still. I've had a full week of meetings/planning etc.  And I've been walking into town.  It's only a 10 to 15 minute walk but needed after slaving over my laptop.
Yesterday I was tempted to take the car as I also needed to take my laptop to the meeting and had a couple of other errands, at the library and the pharmacy, but that would have meant parking the car for the meeting, the library and then the pharmacy. So I walked.  But the library was closed dammit so I shall have to go back again this afternoon.
