Morning everyone. Weather still trying to rain. Clouds look promising.

Morning @Pat E if it does rain for you I hope it is nice warm stuff and not this perishing downpouring type that we have all been having here. So much flooding everywhere.

No rain yet AnnaB, but it’s very overcast. Not cold yet though. 😏

    Hi all

One step forward, two steps back, in a lot of pain after yesterday’s walk and very poor sleep.
A bit alarmed to see 4 large Red Deer stag at the end of the drive yesterday, beautiful, but the destruction they reek in the garden is enormous.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Sorry to hear you had a bad night @punkdoc … but inwards and upwards 🤞 The risk of deer damage is worrying, but you do live in the most wonderful place 😍

That being said there are a few red deer less than three miles from here, as well as quite a few fallow and roe, and some Chinese water deer … and of course we often see muntjac walking past here down the rise … not sure where they’re heading for … there’s pockets of mature woodland all around here so plenty of cover for them. OH has seen them up at the GC where he works, and from time to time there are reports of muntjac in the city centre.

    good morning

a few flakes of snow, about time we had some proper winter weather. I don't like the cold at all but it is necessary at this time of year.
@punkdoc the pain will ease again and you will go for another walk, just remember not to overdo it. I hope the deers will keep away, I imagine what a sight it must be.

I still haven't spent my 50 euros 😂 too much choice. The voucher lasts until June next year. I am a firm believer that the journey is better than arriving, so I will keep the excitement on for as long as I can.

Hi again. Trying to keep the sweat from my face while flopping in front of Tele. As usual, we’re stuck on the History channel  and at the moment it’s Alexander the great.  Not my favourite character, but you have to take what is there, I suppose.

    Morning all.

OH is back with me. It was so good to see him again. The countryside looked very cold and bleak on the drive home but at one point the bare trees were lit golden by the setting sun. Weird because there hadn't been any sun.

I think I ate too much and drank too much wine, then port with cheese, last night as I slept badly and had trouble getting to sleep. I've been trying to lose weight since Christmas.

I see that @punkdoc's thread about rel***on has been closed. Was that by the mods?
