Good morning all later arrivals on the scene.

Shock this morning to hear that Owen Farrell has backed off from playing for England and is going to play his rugby in France for Racing 92. Sis and BIL are heading to italy at the end of this month for the start of the Six Nations. It won't be the same without Farrell but Jamie George has already been named as captain.

Good morning Ruby. It was a shock to read about Owen Farrell. The ruling is that if any English players play for foreign teams then they are ineligible to be selected to represent their country.

    Morning all.

So sad, @debs64, will think of you at the funeral.

Thank you about my eye. I think the eye drops are working.

IΒ looked out of the bedroom window at 7.45am and the sky in the east was glowing pink. Then I went downstairs to make coffee and looked out to the west from the dining room window and all the fluffy clouds were pink. Then I looked at the east facing view from the bathroom window security camera of my French house and no pinkness. It was much lighter, sunrise had been earlier.

Logs for the woodburner are being delivered today and the house painting man who we met in the pub is coming to have a look.

@Busy-Lizzie in between using the drops you could bathe them in cooked boiled water. My eyes have been itchy I think it’s the start of my hayfever ridiculously early I know but it’s tree pollen that triggers mine. Hope yours clears up quickly.Β

    Morning all,

It seems that, between the 2 storms, hissing down and windy fills the gap. Sorry - I need a klaxon to mark the beginning and end of these things as it all seems pretty similar to me. Could do without being told that there's, "weather on the way" as well. No kidding! Mind you, it's often the only thing they get right ;)Β Β

Not a good week for leaving a wheelie bin at the roadside indefinitely, but we have a one-off (only one between October and March) garden waste collection this week. The only problem is, they never stipulate exactly when. Inevitably it will be at least Thursday but we have to put the bin out first thing on Monday just in case. I can only see 2 other bins out on the street - either side of us. Either the rest are gambling, don't know or haven't put anything in them for 3 months. That would be odd as all have gardens front and back.Β

I might sneak out to pay some cheques into the bank for eldest, so that I can see if any more bins are out further down. My what an exciting life I lead :DΒ Β
