It didn't look inviting so I didn't do gardening. It's colder and rather black clouds keep passing by but it hasn't actually rained. I did indoor things instead.

    I hope @rowlandscastle444's wife isn't too poorly.

I've just brought in the last of the wet cloth things - yep, still as wet as when I hung them out but they have had an airing! It is Baltic out there so I'm glad all my outdoor stuff is finished now. I just wish that there was something interesting to watch on TV tonight.

    Good evening everyone,

Iโ€™ve had a very busy day taking down the Christmas trees and putting all the baubles and wreathes away. Itโ€™s taken almost the whole day, but weโ€™re straight now. Weโ€™ve just got the crib out for now, but thatโ€™s going away very soon. The rooms always look very bare, donโ€™t they, when everything goes away. Still, Iโ€™m sure itโ€™ll be time to put them all out again before we know it, the way the weeks whizz by.

Itโ€™s been a very chilly day today, although I didnโ€™t see any frost when I got up, and it was good to see some sunshine for a change. Think itโ€™s forecast to be colder tonight than last night though.

    Evening all,

It's been glorious here but I had indoor stuff to do so only got out briefly - it felt autumnal with a smoky scent in the air and a bit of a nip. I've tidied up the herb planter - everything in there seems happy with the location and growing medium. I just need to utilise them better in the kitchen now!

Really hope that it is similar weather tomorrow -ย  I could well be out there all day.

@Red maple, I agree that the rooms tend to look bare when the decs come down but nowadays we don't have too many up in the lounge so not too much change afterwards. You've been busy taking everything down. Ohhh , please ย don't say next Christmas will be here soon again with the weeks whizzing by๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑNoooooo......๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚

@Red maple I do agree with you and Hazel about how empty the living room looks now without the tree, decs and cards up. Mine was all cleared away by yesterday but I'm still waiting for the item I have 'missed'. This seems to happen every year and then, by all accounts, you have to leave it out until the next time. I can already feel the drop in temperature. Might have to crank up the heating a notch.
Gosh @rowlandscastle444, you are not having a very good start to the new year are you? I do hope that your Father is OK.

ย @rowlandscastle444, that's good news your OH is improving but not so good that your father is in A and E. I do hope he can be seen sooner rather than later and that it is nothing too serious.ย
