Don't you like them too @rowlandscastle444? Have you a sofa so you can eat off your lap?
I did quite a bit of unmentionable work in the house this morning then went to look at the big plant nursery. They had their roses in. They had David Austin roses in pots for only 15β¬, cheaper than in the UK, but a limited choice. I bought two, Olivia Rose Austin and Gentle Hermione. I bought 2 other roses as well.

I've been playing with the new iphone, on and off, this afternoon and have finished sorting it out. It's now off and I am having a rest from all the screen time, going boggle eyed with it. So I'll sign out for now and give my eyes a rest. Have a good evening everyone.Β
I am going to sign out for this evening too. Didn't go to Bestie's today as I've developed and cold and cough. Nothing very serious but I would like to feel a little better for tomorrow when I'm due to go out to lunch. I'll have to see how I feel in the morning.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
A very good morning one and all. It is middle brother's birthday today and its also the Quiz team's first Friday lunch of 2024. Oh no, eating again! My cold hasn't gone but it isn't a major problem so I will definitely be going to the meal. It is very misty outside - 10/10 for the forecasters. I'll just be happy if its dry.

Good morning everyone . Happy Birthday to LBs brother .Enjoy your lunch LB .Wrap up and keep warm itβs bitterly cold. I need to order some groceries today .
I got up early this morning to have my routine blood tests done at the lab. It was dark at 8am, which is 7am UK time. The electric front gate didn't want to open at first, it doesn't like cold and damp.
Then I went into town as it's market day. I bought fruit and veg, some curry powder and cous cous powder and a joint of pork. The stalls all looked colourful and fresh. Then I went to the haberdasher's and bought some new needles for my sewing machine. I broke one the other day hemming my jeans. I think it was old and blunt.

Morning all. Happy birthday for your brother LB and hope you enjoy the meal despite the cold. Glad to hear it's not a horrible one that floors you sometimes. We are waiting in for two deliveries which I hope will come this morning as I want to pop to the phone shop for a new case and to try and get the back glass replaced. It's been broken.Β Feeling quite sluggish this morning.
On the subject of slugs @Songbird-2 , eldest encountered one in the bathroom this morning. She wasn't happy!!
I got an e-mail at 7.58am this morning asking why wages hadn't been paid today. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't today last a bit later than 7.58am?
Just heard the very sad news that Kate Garraways husband had died. So very sad, but he suffered for so long and now is at peace.Β Heart felt sympathy and condolences to Kate and all the family. She was always there for him....every step of the way. R.I.P.
