    Morning all.

I'm quite achey and had to take painkillers in the night. Must be all that gardening yesterday. Also arm aches because of Covid jab.

I'm so lucky being able to do some gardening though. Parts of the lawn are like a squishy bog but it's not all like that. Poor LB's garden, I hope it recovers. Some people have had a really bad time, here in France as well as the UK. The French local paper had an item this morning about a couple who are sleeping in their car as their house has been flooded for a month and it smells.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning all. I, too, don't like these really dark mornings, it's hard getting out of bed.
Busy, after a lot of gardening I ache like mad, so after two hours plus, Β I'm not surprised your body is protesting. Also the jab on top of that, so take it easy for a day or two. Your Oh will soon be joining you, safely, I hope. That poor couple who is sleeping in their car, dreadful.
We have a busy day ahead with lots of little things that need doing including getting the flat hot metal thing out😬

Son has popped down again today with his old iPhone for me. Am getting it to my liking now including a virtual home button! Much bigger than my old one which is a blessing when using the keyboard. I am chuffed with it albeit an older phone.Β
Sun shining at the moment but still cold today. At least it hasn’t rained.Β

Good afternoon all. Oh my goodness Busy, it sounds like you may have overdone it a bit in your garden yesterday. It will soon wear off. I, like Hazel and Ruby, feel extremely sorry for the poor people having to sleep in their car but the smell of damp and possibly sewage contamination can be quite overpowering.
Glad you are enjoying your 'new' iPhone Hazel.

  • Went out to look for a new dining table. Came back with curtains!
Okay, so I can't eat off curtains (or at least, shouldn't do). There again, I can't hang a dining table in the window!!

Chucking it down with rain now. So pleased to be home again, in the dry.

@rowlandscastle444 that is hysterical! I have sometimes been known to shop like that though.

@rowlandscastle444 - that is probably my default method of shopping
Rarely get what I went for on an initial shop when it's a big item. Usually have to have a few reccies and buy a few other things first😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • I must say, that the curtains are my wife's choice.
And guess who paid for them?!
