Good morning all. Dry here though it rained overnight. Work for me, not my first day back as I was at work on 27th, I am still cross about that but whatever. Hope you all have a good dayΒ
OH was going by train to the airport on Sunday but the train has been cancelled because of engineering work. I wonder if it's because of weather probems.Β There is a bus provided but it takes ages and would only take him to Ely. He's thinking of going by National Express instead. Travelling by train seems to be getting more and more difficult, expensive too.
I'll be doing unmentionables and putting on Lily's TV today. Won't be clearing decorations and tree until after OH gets here.
From Sunday the weather is going to change from being mild and wet to sunny and very cold. Still not good gardening weather.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning SGL, Debs and Busy. SGL, it is not raining at yours because its here! Grrrrr. Enjoy your meet up with your friend.
Debs, I hope work is not too stressful for you today.
Busy, it is a flood nightmare in many areas of the country due to Storm Henk. Fingers crossed your OH manages to get to the airport without too many hiccups.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning all. Wet and damp today but the rains have eased up. Those poor people who have been flooded out have my sympathy. Son is popping down for a visit today, he's got a new iphone and is giving me his old one. Hopefully I can set it all up okay. It's a much younger model than mine and the bigger keyboard will be a godsend.Β Catch you later.Β
This morning the sun actually came out so I went out to do some gardening instead of HW. There was one small shower but it was quite mild outside. I did 2 1/2 hours, weeding, pruning, mulching.
This afternoon I went for my 6th Covid vaccination. I didn't even feel the prick, best one I've had.

Itβs been a bit drier today, with just showers rather than the continual rain of yesterday.
The floods have been dreadful yet again. It must be heartbreaking for all affected by them.
I spent a good part of the morning putting away some of the decorations - garlands and such like. The tree will remain up until 12th night. It looks so bare now with so much down, but it has to be done.
Thank you to all who sent condolences. It was such a shock, happening so unexpectedly and quickly. I donβt know yet when the funeral will be, but imagine at least 2 weeks time.
@Songbird-2 , it sounds as if you may be in need of a reviver π, but I expect you had a lovely time. Little ones are so entertaining.
