Just got back from a SM shop. Had some coupons to use (£78 became £56) and, as I don't get out much during the week when working, it seemed a good opportunity. It was pretty empty, which is always a bonus. Having to go at weekends is something to be avoided. We should be good for a week or two with all the essentials stocked up.
If we get some decent weekend weather Jan-March, I'll be able to plant a few more things @Ladybird4 but, potentially the garden could be neglected for around 3 months. I'm not enjoying that prospect at all, I have to say. The dog walkers who I see having a good old stare as they go past will have to admire the bare earth for a while yet
I did suggest to OH that she could plant a few things but the look she gave me hinted that I was about to become an ex- myself!

Had a nice relaxing day just pottering. A nice gentle start to a new year. Spoke to mum who sounded very chirpy and well, too. Im signing out for today. Hoping for a quieter night and a better sleep too. Night all.
Morning everyone, Had a bad day yesterday and felt very low. Couldn't get to sleep last night, but when I eventually nodded off I slept very heavy and have woken up with a very muzzy head. Will have a lazy day today. Weather permitting I might take a stroll to the duck pond and get some fresh air. Hope everyone is well, take care.
SGL, I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad day yesterday, and that you didn't slept well. Hope you will be able to go outside a bit and clear your minds. Wish you a lovely day, and hope you will soon be better.
Another grey morning. It's dry at the moment and I'll put all outside lights down and store them for next Christmas. Tea first.

Last night when I looked out of my living room window I wasn't that surprised to see that my neighbour's front garden was under water. Their border resembled a river, gleaming in the glow from the street light. I daren't even hope that it might be dry today.
