    Morning all,

Had a quick mooch outside - just the usual patio chair leaping over a 2ft wall and depositing in the middle of the lawn. The weather was looking promising earlier but then it went dark again! Marti has been re-installed for the day it seems :(ย ย

  • Morning everyone,
Very windy here and absolutely lashing down.
Think I'll hibernate on the sofa today watching rubbish TV.
    Enjoy your day everyone.

We've got the shopping done....nice and quiet in SM....and then left some hand knits, reading book and few other things at the local charity shop in town. Had a wander round town to stretch our legs and get some fresh air but it was mightily windy and cold so didn't dawdle ย really. OH ย having trouble with his arthritis, it seems to be really flaring up at the moment and causing him some discomfort.
It started raining when we got home and it is now as dark as night. Doesn't do anything for raising the spirits.

Good afternoon everyone. Had a nice quiet time at Bestie's. Her neighbour called round for a short while. It hammered down most of the time so getting home before the dark started to set in was essential. I have remembered to stick my bin out for tomorrow - just need to keep an eye on it in case it gets blown over; I do not relish the thought of gathering up soaking wet envelopes and wrapping paper should it get upset.

Got brighter later on but I'd already started on a bit of work that needs doing before going back next week. As we'll be expected to do 5 days work in 4 days, can't have anything from the hectic pre-Christmas week lingering.

It's still just about light here - the longer days are already noticeable. Soon have light evenings back :)

I wish I could say I had noticed @Biglad but not so far in my neck of the woods. Seems to still be dark by 16:00. I uprighted a couple of pots with hydrangeas in which had been blown over and I filled up the bird feeder whilst later being amused by a very plump squirrel who was trying to work out how to get through the baffle around the feeder. Squirrel 0 - 10 Bird feeder.

It's been dark here most of the day LB although I have had a little look round the garden and was pleased to see lots of little bulbs coming through now. Also, all 8 broad ย beans I sowed ย have now pushed through so 9 in all. Enjoy your quizzing.
    Im signing out for today.ย

Itโ€™s been another wet and breezy day, after what seemed a promising start to the day. So, another day of not doing very much. We did watch a couple of Agatha Christie films on BBC2 this afternoon, which I enjoyed. Thereโ€™s another one on later, started last night, which Iโ€™ll watch.
Iโ€™ll be glad when it dries up enough to get out a bit, though. Starting to get a bit stir crazy, sitting around. Need to burn off some calories ๐Ÿ˜.
