@Ladybird4, when there was all the talk of watching Oppenheimer and Barbie back-to-back, the consensus seemed to be to watch Barbie second as it would be uplifting. I'd say it would be the opposite!
Whatever the IT problem was on Friday, it's gone away now. I've got a couple of hours work to do today to catch up before starting again tomorrow. I'll do that after dark though - not wasting daylight!
Morning all. Up late again today and as son and 23 are coming this morning I must get a move on. Safe journey Busy, Ante, hurray, a day of rest for you🙂 Biglad, get digging . LB, even 23 has seen Barbie😬 Catch you later.
Good morning everyone .Hazel enjoy your son and 23s visit .Busy I hope your journey home is pleasant . Ante enjoy your day of rest .LB i hope you have a restful day .Big Lad enjoy you gardening . I am feeling a bit delicate .I fell down from half way up the bedroom steps a couple of days ago. No broken bones but a lot of bruising.
Good morning all, Oh @Rubee, that sounds painful. A fall shakes you up a bit, doesn’t it? I hope the bruising subsides quickly. Yes, the third Sunday of Advent already, the time is whizzing past. It’s the tree service at church this morning, with donations for the food bank, then this afternoon, we are off to the Panto - oh yes we are 😁. It should raise a chuckle or two, no doubt. Safe journey to France @Busy-Lizzie.
Oh Rubee, thats not good. Luckily no broken bones but you will be feeling 'delicate'as you say. Hope the bruising subsides and you'll feel better soon. Red Maple, enjoy the panto....oh yes you will... its good fun and thank's again for putting the idea in my mind for 23. Hope the tree service is good.
Had such a nice time with son and 23. He was tinkled pink with the singing cactus, he even took it off up the hallway, on his own, and talked away to it ,with it answering him. The voice sounds just like those of the children in the Harabo advert, with the two big burly policeman, so funny. It even came upstairs to the room where we have the lego. He was giggling away with it. At one point he quietly said ' I want one of these....for Christmas."..bless him. OH and I are going out tomorrow to see if there any left at the shop we for him from. 🤭 I had to smother a laugh when I asked him where he had caught a cough and cold from. ( he's full of it). I said he probably caught it off someone at school and he replied," no grandma, I got it off the field!". Well, what do you say to that?? 😂😂
Got a bit done before it went dark. Put a pieris in a planter, likewise a cranberry in with a couple of pernyetta and 30 muscari bulbs in another. Only half a bucket of weeds today but nearly finished clearing the big, bare bed in the front garden.
Good afternoon all. Went to the GC with a friend and her sister from Arnside. Spent quite a while discussing the two walks I had made across Morecambe Bay from Arnside to Grange. Not for the faint hearted and definitely to go with a good guide. It is about 8 miles in total and the guide the group I was with was Cedric Robinson - the Queen's Guide to the Sands. Sadly no longer with us but I still have my certificate, signed by him, to say I did it!
Busy I did wonder if CB would get the place warmed through for you.
Well done on your gardening jobs @Biglad. Have you got the other apple tree in yet? Or did I miss that?
Ruby, you must have had quite a fright when you fell. Isn't it annoying when things that were so easy for us in the eighties are now a major feat. Have you anything for your bruises? Hope they disappear soon. No more going up ladders.
Hazel, I thought you had got the cactus for 23. I suppose its useful to have some things at your house he can play with when he visits though. It sounds very entertaining. My Bestie has loads of things for her granddaughter to play with in her house. We even enjoy having a play! When he's older you can explain about viruses and bacteria.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB, yes, the cactus was bought for 23 tom play with at our house, as you say, we have lots of things here for him. He was so smitten with it though, we thought we would get one for him to take home. Goodness, that 8 mile walk sounds quite a strenuous walk. Did you get anything from the g/c or was it just for a browse round?

It looks like another fine, warm day. Lots to do!
