I hope you can sail through the post-op recovery @punkdoc so you can have your home comforts soon, as hospital is (as you know) not the place for sleep and relaxation!
Take care all. Fingers crossed for calmer, drier weather as the New Year approaches.
Good morning and a special hello to @punkdoc. Patience is the word, maybe last night was a bit better? I too am proud of all the NHSs of the world. We are immensely lucky in Europe, with all the problems that every European country has regarding staff, waiting lists and the rest we are still SO much better off than many. Long live the welfare system.
Once you get home you should sleep @punkdoc. Not easy to sleep in hospital.
I had a great day yesterday with my families. My 14 grandchildren (2 to 18) get on really well. We all enjoyed lunch, adults in the kitchen, children in the dining room. Everyone was pleased with their presents, including me. 2 of the roses I'd ordered were from daughter 2, The Albrighton Rambler and Chevy Chase.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all, I'm sure your numbers will stabilize during the day @punkdoc. I hope we weren't chuntering away too loudly during the night as we kept you company!
I have had to cancel my appointment with the surgeon for my other hip and knee. I slid on some water after my shower - yes stepped off the bathmat - and the leg that I had hip replacement in 2017 shot out to the side. I am lying on the couch and according to the receptionist, I have to call an ambulance if the pain hasn't subsided in a couple of hours.
Oh @tui34 😱😢 🤗 🤞 I do hope there’s no real damage done.
I was going to post this for @punkdoc but I’m sure he won’t mind sharing it with you.
I popped out to put some stuff in the bin and there they were … self-down primulas in a narrow gap against the northfacing wall near the bins … smiling up at me cheerfully … I just had to share 🙏 its the first time they’ve flowered. Spring is coming 😃
