  • Good morning all  :) ☕️
Glad you’re home @punkdoc … hope you’re getting some sleep now.
I don’t envy them that heat @Pat E … and theyll certainly notice the difference when they come back here on the 11th Jan!  4C here this morning brrr!
Hope @tui34 ‘s hip has settled and is more comfy now 🤞

    Good morning all.

Catching up on sleep at home sounds good @punkdoc. Don't over do the exercises to start with. The hospital gave OH a booklet on exercises which was too much for the first week and it hurt. He was keen to do them because he thought he would improve more quickly. He spoke to the physio on the phone and read out what was in the book. She said it was too much to begin with.

I'm going to friends for lunch today. I met her through the gardening club.

Morning all, a warm sunny day is forecast. I must go and pick up a prescription but first put the washing out.
Don't overdo the exercises at first @punkdoc, take it gently. I had my Physio come to me twice a week at home for the first two weeks and then went to him after that for the cycling machine and weights!
  • Morning all,

Misty wet start here, all a bit depressing.

Watched the BBC news this morning, all the reviews are very emotional this time of the year. Some very good souls out there. Said to Charlie, trying not to be too sad about the people who've died, the ones that make it onto the BBC have done some wonderful things in their lives.

Taking Charlie to the supermarket this morning, he needs supplies to take to his New Year's Eve 'gathering', he's making a cake apparently and taking charcuterie, no alcohol allowed, the group of 7 had a vote about it and the majority said no, they thought it spoil the moment. I'm impressed they are being so democratic.

Steady away @punkdoc, and hope you've not done too much damage @tui34.

    Good day to all.

Glad that you have made it home safely @punkdoc, nothing like your own bed in your home surrounding to help you relax and catch up on your sleep.

Hope you are feeling a little more comfortable now @tui34 and your leg is showing some improvement.

Any more pictures of your beautiful grand daughter @Hostafan1, will you be able to go visiting before too long?

The wind and rain is forecast to be returning here today, I'm not happy about that especially as daughter is intending to travel back to Wales overnight tonight, hoping she doesn't run into any floods.

    Good morning all,

Good to read that you are safely home @punkdoc. 🤞you should be able to rest and sleep better.

It’s a very dull, damp and grey morning here - the kind of day that never seems to get light.

Wishing safe journeys to all on the move today.
  • Good morning,  everyone,  glad to hear positive news from @punkdoc , hope to hear better news from @tui34 soon.
We went to Wrest Park to see the Christmas light trail last eve, very atmospheric,  much more subtle than the one at Kew a few years ago less crowded too. All the family were there I think the Americans enjoyed it as something different. Then had a pub meal after.
Today we are going into town to another restaurant lunch. More info tomorrow.

    Morning all.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to both @tui34 and @punkdoc  You are both in my thoughts.
My Mother is now on steroids in addition to the stronger antibiotics and the good news she finally seems to have stopped getting worse, and is - possibly - slightly better .  (I came very close to taking her to Accident & Emergency at one point.)
Although there is more or less a gale force wind blowing, the good news is that it seems to have stopped raining; and, at around 10:15am, it finally became bright enough so that the street lights were able to turn themselves off.  The picture seems to be slowly improving hereabouts.
As always - stay safe out there folks.
