Hello everyone. I’m currently flopping on the lounge and Hubby is snoozing on the other chair. No sign of Pixel, thank goodness. She likes to butt me on the jaw if I’m snoozing.
It’s funny to watch her with our son. She used to hide when he visited ( I think she was worried that he’d grab her and take her back to Canberra with him.). She now seems to understand that he won’t do that nowadays. 👏👏. We’d hate to lose her company now that we’ve had her for so long.
We had one of “those” mornings today. My Dr gave me a new script yesterday and when we drove to the Pharmacy, (at 3pm), we were told there’d be a two hour wait. Hubby decided to go back to town the next morning rather than be hanging around. So, into town today for that, and top up the petrol while in town. Nice to get an extra $60 cost because of the extra running back and forth ( not) 🤬
Anyway, it’s a nice warm day, with a break from all the rain we’ve been getting.
Hope you’re back home and resting now @Pat E All is quiet here … MIL is back at home, son went to a friends birthday get together yesterday evening but he’s back and sound asleep now; we both slept like logs and OH is making drinks… it looks dry and windy out there … there’s a wood pigeon clinging onto a tv aerial and a large crow just flew past …

Best wishes to @punkdoc for the surgery. With a second new hip there will be no stopping you!
My Mother didn't respond to the first course of antibiotics, so I took her back to the Doctor and now she is on a second, much stronger, course. It may be bronchitis. This too shall pass.
Stay safe folks.

Hi everyone, was hoping to get out for a walk but we literally have sun and showers at the same time. Very jealous that you can get out and garden @Busy-Lizzie no chance here. Lots to do including SD2 has asked if we can help sort out their garden. It's still a mess after all the building work they had done, so some beds to revamp and new planting opportunities 😉 Hope all goes well @punkdoc as my Yoga teacher says, taking some deep breaths, if you can do that it means you're alive so no problem 😊
Forecast was for some sun this morning, so out to the Donkey Sanctuary this morning. It started raining on the way there, and didn’t stop till we got home. It’s lovely now at 1pm. Still, we had a relaxing breakfast, lots of families there and I got to cuddle lots of dogs. Very peaceful after all the excitement over Christmas. OH will be having leftover ham with egg and chips, and I’ll have some ham with spaghetti and hopefully some olive and tomato sauce! ( see the Olives- not gardening thread, thanks @pansyface) At some stage, I should get some laundry on, but after the non stop cooking, and feeding the dishwasher, I’ll be a bit lazy for a while. All quiet from @punkdoc, so hopefully he is in surgery or recovering, and not twiddling his thumbs waiting.

Thanks for all your kind words yesterday. I am now in hospital, so hopefully all will be going ahead.

Good luck @punkdoc, or a better phrase they use here in France, Bon Courage, as in no luck required, you've got this!
I'm going back to Son 2's today for lunch. My 4 children and their children will be there. More present opening! It will be noisy.
Good luck @punkdoc. You'll be fine, you managed last time.
