Sounds grim @pansyfacSoundse, awfully glad that we seem to be missing it.

    Look after yourselves.

  • We're meeting Debi in the early hours of tomorrow, apparently.  Red warning for heavy rain & strong winds gusting to 100 kph (which sounds a lot more scary than 62 miles per hour...)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • I'm not in the area expecting to be hit but still the wind was pretty fearsome from about 3 am.

Hope those in the direct path are OK. 🤞
  • Hard to see yet, but I don't think there's much damage from Debi hereabouts.   :)

  • All ok here, as I thought.  Daughter near Galway is ok, though temporarily stuck in her road by flooding and fallen trees on the coast road near her house.  Son in York says it's windy but ok.

We had fairly heavy rain overnight (8 mm which is quite a lot for here) but today it's mild(ish), dry, bright and breezy. Washing is on the line with extra pegs.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
