... Confession time, I'm now a lurker.... I check in with you lot twice a day every day but it's one of those times when everything goes wrong just when you don't need it to, just before Christmas. This gives me what I call, ostrich syndrome where I hide my head in the sand and come up for air when I think there may not be an incoming catastrophe.... So not very often! However....I have to echo the sentiments expressed on here...I value and care about every single one of you! So a big thank you and best wishes!
Spent an hour and a bit in the garden. I swept up all the leaves from the ‘patio’ along the back of the house, and one green bin is over half full. I feel very virtuous! No point composting the leaves, most of the garden is one big compost heap. Spent the time thinking deep thoughts, about past things that left me feeling like a failure. However, amazed to find how many positives I’d forgotten about, what major achievements I’d accomplished, all faded into the background in comparison to some rather minor issues. Left me feeling a lot better. How much was due to the power of being outside in the fresh air, and the garden, and some good honest physical work to carry out? I’ll see if I can do some more tomorrow.
I'm making fish pie for myself tomorrow evening, hoping to freeze the excess, I'm making good use of the slow cooker too to batch bake warm and comforting suppers to stash in the freezer.

Thank you for the advice regarding my vertigo, no sign of it today thank goodness, but I will remember the suggestions for the next time should it occur again. Many thanks. And many special thanks to all on this topic/thread. You are all amazing, so friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate you all putting up with my rambling posts especially as the ability to garden has somewhat forsaken me now unfortunately due to my health. To give you a little laugh here is a picture of a road block (border control) up on the mountain above us taken last week. Home for me is actually in the forest just below the horizon, dead centre of the photo. It took a while for the border control to let me through!
That's a lovely photo @AnnaB. Reminds me of our trip s across the Elan Valley in Wales to where my brother used to live, Had to wait for the border control (sheep in our case) many a time. The hand made signs used to make us laugh, was it either 'slow sheep in road' or slow, sheep in road'!!
Glad you're feeling better.
Good idea to batch cook @D0rdogne_Damsel. Wish I had a larger freezer sometimes.
