A very good morning one and all. We had a good win last night - beating our opponents by 6 points. It was a late night so I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. I decided to take advantage of my Economy 7 this morning and I've got a rhubarb crumble in the oven. The last of last year's frozen harvest.
Busy, good news about the antibiotics for your OH. I echo what Hazel said

  • Aw. Thank you @Ladybird4
I've just looked around to see how much needs to be packed up today. Suddenly got that awful feeling that we don't have enough boxes.Β
Unless my wife has a few squirreled away somewhere!!

I will be rapidly placing orders for various plants. Callicarpa definitely.

Morning. Cold again outside, put some bird food out and a massive flock of starlings descended and have nigh on gormandized the lot before I even got back inside.
Off out to get OH some more materials for laying a path around the veg patch and then he is about finished.
Well done LB on your win last night and good to hear you slept well. Long time since I had rhubarb crumble.

    Morning all.

Well done on your win, LB.

My rhubarb has died, I think. Too hot for it in SW France.

I used to make 120 mince pies for the church carol service in Dordogne. Couldn't get mincemeat then in France, I'd buy it in England and add grated apple, more sultanas, flaked almonds to bulk it up and a slosh of cream sherry which I'd bring from England too. Local SM now sells mincemeat, but at twice the price, no sherry though.

OH slept a bit better, only one big bout of coughing in the night, but he's been coughing this morning.

Wretched cockerel woke me at 5am and again at 6.50. It was in NDN's acer which overhangs our garden.I shot it with the water pistol and it flew off with a load of squawking.

I had invited friends for dinner tonight, had to postpone it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Pleased to read your OH slept better Busy and I hope that the cough eases soon. I think this 'cough' is doing the rounds as I have been coughing over the last couple of days. I smiled at your description of the cockerel. Is he the one that used to disturb you a while back? I expect you will be able to rearrange your dinner with your friends once your OH has rallied.
