Afterwards everyone, It's absolutely poured down all day.Β A very dark wet dismal day.Β Goodness that's a lot of steps @Biglad hope you've had a relaxing afternoon. How annoying to be sent all over the place and not found the house. Good job it wasn't raining. @Songbird-2 hope the weather is kind to you so you can visit your mum. Keeping everything crossed that remaining rose cuttings take π€π€ Thank you, I did enjoy my day yesterday, but did wish their Grandpa could have been there to enjoy it too.Β Have done a few unmentionables and this afternoon have watched rubbish TV.Β
I know what you mean @star gaze lily, sometimes 23 says or does something and I think how my dad would have loved it and it's such a shame he couldn't be there to see it. I do tend to mention him when 23 is building his lego things (dad was a Master a builder ) Β so tell 23 he is taking after his great grandpa. My dad would have been impressed I think.Β
Good afternoon everyone. Lily is totally unimpressed by the hour change. She gave me such a shriveller of a look when I suggested it was munchie time at the new 16:00. She hasn't even bothered to go and look at her dish yet. Like you Ruby, I just don't understand why it is still necessary to do this. The light that is available is always there so why we have to shift hours around is a complete enigma.
Having been out of driving action last week I decided to shop at 'sco today. I knew that the road through the village was closed (roadworks) so I went via the diversion. Of course everybody in the universe and the local buses were all going that way so it was an absolute nightmare. The store was also busy with parents and children buying up every possible Halloween accoutrement. I was glad to get home - even though I had to work through the diversion again.
Ante I hope that you have had a lovely - if a little bit poignant - day with the rellies today.
SGL, it will be another difficult time for you but as Hazel said those little poppets will have helped to make new happy memories.
Biglad, it has been a cracking day here (apart from having to shop!) Well done on your efforts. BTW we have not forgotten about the DENTIST!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I'm signing off for today. Ante, hope today hasn't been too emotional for you or your rellies and that you have found some solace being with family.Night all.
Good morning everybody. Well its raining - there's a surprise! I am going to have a walk up to the village this morning as I feel the need for a bit of exercise after my week of not doing very much.
Deeply distressing news from the middle east. Its often been quoted
before but there is nothing more incomprehensible to me than man's inhumanity
to man - and for what?!

Morning @Ladybird4 Had a rubbish night's sleep and woken up with a muzzy headache.Β I really don't like this hour change. It will take me all week to get used to it.Β It was raining during the night, but I think it's stopped at the moment. Need a cup of tea, so thirsty.
Good morning everyone. Β I agree LB the situation in the middle east is very distressing. Lily sorry to read that you had a rubbish night . Try to have a rest at some point today .
The garden is wet through ,no gardening today .Itβs a good job I looked at my diary today . I had forgotten that we have our Covid injections this afternoon . Enjoy your day folks .
Morning all. Rubee, I couldn't do without our year Calendar Β which we have up on the kitchen wall. All appointments, events etc get written on there and it's looked at daily. Without it I wouldn't Β remember a thing. Good luck with the covid jabs.
We are putting off our visit to mum until after this week. The weather is horrendous most days so we will wait. Don't want to risk anything in our old bus.
