    Evening all,

It's been glorious again here today. Not sure that was forecast. No rain and loads of sunshine. A bit annoying to miss an opportunity to be delivering or gardening whilst being glued to the tedium of my laptops :(Β Β

    Good morning all.
Biglad - just grin and bear it. The monetary rewards will be worth it.
I've noticed a slight improvement in my shoulder this morning but I've cancelled visit to Bestie's as it is still awkward to turn my head so driving would be a bit risky. I notice it is raining again this morning so I don't feel as bad about having to be indoors again today.

    Morning all.

    It's raining here too.

My jaw and side of tongue are still sore and a bit swollen.Β  Son used a lot of pressure to get the tooth out.

I'm glad you shoulder is a bit better LB. Does Bestie drive?

We are going to the SM today for the weekly shop.

Morning all. Raining here too but I have to venture forth to the dentist ....hope all is well.
Busy, I had a large molar( one right at the back of the mouth) taken out ( in hospital) when I was in my 20's and my face was swollen and black for over a week. I guess it was to be expected when you imagine what they have to do to your mouth to get it out of the way to yank the tooth out😬 Give it time, at least the initial pain will be gone, once everything has subsided.
I have more seeds popping through from the Physostegia, I'm pleased and will endeavour to look after them over winter so they will remain viable for next Spring.
LB, it sounds as if you may have pulled a muscle in your shoulder/arm if you're finding it difficult to twist your head. It will take time to heal so take things very easy.Have you tried Vo**er*l on it or some anti-inflammatory tablets?Β

    Good morning all,

very wet and grey here today. It’s supposed to bright up this pm for a short while then start raining again. I’m glad we decided to go to the SM yesterday, as we usually go on a Thursday. I think I’ll make the red cabbage dish this afternoon that I serve at X..s and put it in the freezer. There were plenty of red cabbages available yesterday, so decided to get one whilst they had them - couldn’t get one for love nor money last year, they’d sold out.

Glad your shoulder feels a bit easier today @Ladybird4. A pulled muscle takes time to heal, so you’re probably wise to avoid driving today.

I hope your mouth feels less sore soon @Busy-Lizzie. As @Songbird-2 says, it will take time because of all the pulling that was necessary.

Got to the dentist only to find that the appointment had been cancelled ( nobody told me though) as our dentist has an ulcer on his eye caused by his contact lenses😱🀒 so we came home and did the shopping instead. It's so dark it looks like an evening instead of a morning. Just waiting for a delivery now and the rain is still coming down.

Good afternoon all. Had a quiet day today sorting out stuff for the coming festive season.
I am so sorry to hear about the two dentist stories today. Busy, eventually all will be fine and the pain will stop (hope that happens for my shoulder too!). Yes, my Bestie does drive.
Hazel that was a bit rude that no one had told you about your dentist not being available. You could have been very inconvenienced by the pointless trip - at least you were able to fit in your shopping. Yes, I am a huge believer in Voldemort (as my friend calls that 'rub') and always have it in to house. I also use Tiger Balm (other rubs are available). Both of them smell really nice. How exciting that your seedlings are popping up for you. I'm sure they will receive lots of tlc from you and you will have masses of them - and foxgloves for next season.
Woo hoo Red maple. Great idea to 'buy when you see', that was my Mum's mantra. Speaking of which, I received a letter today from one of my cousins in Canada. She had been going through some papers at her Mum's and she came across two letters from my Mum which she has sent to me. It was very moving recognising Mum's writing and reading the letters. One of them mentions her and Dad going to Australia for my late brother and sister-in-law's wedding. That letter will be well over 20 years old! The other one is an airmail letter dated 22.O1.06 where Mum talks about our February holidays. I was quite overcome.

Yes, LB, I can quite imagine how you will have felt reading your mums writing. I am like that when I see ( not often now) things which have my dads writing on. Almost like a ping on the heartstring . Hopefully it will have brought up some better memories for you.Β

Hazel, it was exactly as you described but the lovely happy memories awakened by the letters and their content swamped all the sad feelings.
