A very good morning all. Did anyone notice that they had an extra hour of sleep last night? I didn't. Its not even lighter for goodness sake!
Thoroughly enjoyed the final last night - couldn't care less who won but it was a real gritty struggle and entertaining to see. I dread the dross that will fill the TV sceens from now on. More time for reading though!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I hate the hour change too. I hate the dark evenings. I'm not a morning person so I don't care if the mornings are dark. Afternoon gardening will now be more limited.
Tooth socket still aches but not as badly as yesterday morning.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Bussy, it's good to hear that you are a bit better this morning. Hope it will pass soon completely.Β Β
Same as SGL I was awake very early. Luckily we have sunny morning, so I can see a difference. It will be very confusing day, I presume, for all of us. My aunt and uncle will arrive in short visit. They are going to visit cemetery, and we will later have lunch together with my parents. Next Wednesday is All Saints day, and it's bank holiday. It means that I have one more free day.Β Β
@Busy-Lizzie glad you're not in so much pain this morning. Hope it starts to heal and the pain goes away.Β @Ante1 have a good day with your family.Β Leaves are turning a golden brown now and starting to fall. They seem quite late this year.Β Β Had a lovely day yesterday with eldest son and family. The poppets and I carved pumpkins and also painted a few small ones.Β Doing unmentionables this morning then having a lazy afternoon. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
this clock changing business messes me up - wish theyβd leave them alone. It looks a nicer morning, brighter and dry. Hope it lasts.
Glad to hear that your mouth is feeling less sore @Busy-Lizzie.
It sounds as if some of you have been quite busy in preparation for that certain day in December π. I must admit, if something catches my eye, I tend to get it whilst itβs there and put it away. If I wait, you can guarantee someone else has beaten me to it.
Glad your mouth is feeling less sore @Busy-Lizzie.
Have a nice day with your family @Ante1. Itβs also nice for you to have a day off work mid week, too, for All Saintsβ Day. We donβt do that here, itβs just another day, not a bank holiday.
I hope everyone has a pleasant day and hope that @debs64 and @Yviestevie are both ok.
Good morning everyone .I think changing the clocks twice a year is totally pointless .Β
Busy good to read that you are more comfortable now .Lily so pleased that you had a nice time with your family yesterday.Ante enjoy your family time .Enjoy your Day Red Maple. LB, I slept the extra hour and another on top of that .I woke up really late .
Morning all. Rain, rain and more rain. We are hoping to pop to see Mum next week, just for a day visit, but if it's raining we'll have to defer until a dry clear day. Ante, hope you have a nice day with your rellies, nice change for you. Busy, so pleased to hear things are beginning to ease off a little for you.Β SGL, little ones and family members will have lifted the spirits( and the Poppets may have worn you out tooπ) and created some good memories for them and you. Ive had the flat hot metal thing out today so can get on with some knitting this afternoon, with a clear conscience.Β
I didn't bother to keep checking the forecasts for today as I had to do some delivering whatever the weather. The last one I saw suggested that I would get Marti, so there must've been some divine intervention since then because it's glorious here. I was way too hot in shorts and T-shirt, that's for sure! 16,000 steps but only 30 more letters delivered tells you how spaced out the properties were. It didn't help when a well-meaning dog walker told me where to find one particular house. Half an hour later up and down a magical, mystery lane and I concluded that I was wasting my time with that one.
I have to take any leftovers back this week, so I'll get my Sundays back from next week Of the remaining 37 letters, I can do 15 pretty quickly as they're close to the council offices. The rest are a mix of those I can't find, can't access, don't have letterboxes and a couple that I can't be bothered delivering to again. There are some steep, farm tracks that I can't face twice Β Β
Raining at West Ham and I've had to draw the blinds so I can see the TV up here in deepest Lancashire. It's grim daan saaf Β Β

I'm still waiting for my rellies. It's nice outside, but I can't start with anything now.Β
