Thank you all. Love the hug LB.

I took a spoonful of the liquid morphine that OH had after his hip replacement, didn't do anything for the pain, just made me a bit sleepy.

Morning all. Damp, wet and miserable here but have opened the greenhouse door wide as it's full of condensation. I did notice whilst there, (sssh ) but I think one little rose cutting has started to form a wee side shoot. It's tiny but I'm hopeful. Three other cuttings have died so I am left with just two now.

We are going to a g/c this morning as I need some bird food. I watched three little blue tits this morning, with two blackbirds( who were battling each other furiously) , a robin and two sparrows flitting back and forth to some fat balls hanging from the Rowan tree. I'm really pleased.I am also on the hunt for nice quality wrapping paper for X*** as the stuff I got  last week is very poor, it rips at this slightest touch.

Oh poor Bush, your poor mouth sounds awfully sore. keep taking  painkillers until that seal has formed and by careful how you hold your head. Upright. And take it easy!

Rowlandscastle, how is the move coming along? Getting their bit by bit? We had to replace some larger furniture too, when we moved, the perils of downsizing.

Ante, enjoy the break in your weather and hope you manage to get some lavender cuttings done.

    Morning all.
Sorry to hear your mouth is still so sore @Busy-Lizzie - it has been an ordeal. On the plus side you will be receiving the very best care and attention and you can phone your dentist whenever you need to - not many of us can say that!

Which reminds me - ring the dentist asap @Biglad. If you leave it and an infection starts you'll know all about it. Get it checked!! That's you told!

Ante - do you do much planting over the winter? Wondering if the heavy rain will cause you any issues on your small holding?

LB - enjoy the rugby. My brother and SIL are in Maui at the moment visiting their daughter (the one who got married on the beach early this year) and 3 week old first grandson (he's gorgeous🥰). They are 11hrs behind us and rugby-mad brother has been getting up at 5am to watch the matches. I'm not sure whether or not that will help with his jet lag when they come home next week (6.5 hr flight to Seattle, 10hours in the airport, then 10 hour flight back to London 😖)

Need to get on with domestic chores today - boring....

Got some nice bird food seed mix at garden centre plus some mealy  worms. Not very good quality wrapping paper nor a little pint sized X***tree which I thought I would get mum  to put up in her room come the festivities. Might look in B and * later to see if they do them. I used to get them for my office desk, as a lot of us did, when I was working,  just to cheer the place up during the dark winder days.
Did find a little present for sons upcoming birthday and OH  got a lovely  ornament (for a **** tree or vase of dried flowers, ) of some tiny little acorns, a bit different.
Have filled some feeders so will hopefully see some more little birds coming in the early mornings. Haven't seen so many as I did this morning, for a long long time.
Topbird, I don't envy your brother and SIL their long flight back.....they'll be shattered.
A little wave hello to @debs64 and @Yviestevie 👋 Hope all is well with you.

Mouth is a little less sore now so this afternoon I did a bit of light gardening.

Now I'm going to start my Photobox album for the last year, taking photos from my Laptop files.

My dentist will be on holiday for the next week, they are visiting my other son and DIL's family.

Having measured up, my wife is now busy searching online for a new bedside cabinet, desk, plus tables for the kitchen and lounge-diner. Oh yes, plus chairs.
That's scary, because she is searching for solid oak furniture, which isn't the cheaper option. Just because we're not spending as much on the bungalow as we would have done with the house that had to be aborted, it shouldn't mean she spends the difference on furniture.
    Sigh.

I will let her search for possibilities, then rein in her first choices. Maybe let her have one, but let her choose WHICH one.

Just to make things interesting, the gas network along our road is due to be replaced over a five week period, starting two weeks before our latest possible completion date.
That's put the stress levels up a notch. Not ideal to cut people off for a while, particularly if they rely on gas for central heating (as we do) and for cooking (we have gas hob, but can manage with the microwave, oven and grill, and slow cooker.
It will mean them digging up our front path, and probably removing our pyracantha hedge down one side!!
    Removal vans will have fun.

Other than that, things are moving at a snail's pace. 🙄

Goodness @rowlandscastle444, that's a lot to be going on just at the wrong time. Going on our situation, we didn't buy anything new for this house until we'd actually  moved in. Rooms can be deceiving when looking at either empty or with furniture.  We thought we'd have plenty of room for big sideboard. Not a chance. So we spent ages trawling the shops and stores etc until we found one small enough to fit the space. If you could wait until after you've moved, you may get something in oak from that famous store/warehouse when they start the Boxing Day / New Year sales🙂 Take a day at a time, get through it, and then look at tomorrow when it comes. It can get overwhelming. I ended up in hospital for a week about three weeks before we were due to move, ( pericarditis) poor OH. He had it all to do.I wasn't much use when I got back home either.
I wish you all the very best and good luck, somehow you will get there. Have faith.

Good evening all. Its good to read you have had some easing of your toothache Busy.
T'Bird, I would do that to watch the rugby as well Sis sent me a picture earlier from the coach taking all the foreign officials plus her and BIL to the stadium for tonight's big final. She is looking forward to getting home again on Monday. I can't believe its been 7 weeks they have been away.
Hazel, more good buys at the GC. The ornament sounds charming.
@rowlandscastle444, moving home can be very stressful, Try to just go with the flow. My Bestie is still waiting for the probate on her partner's house to be finalised - it is now  almost 8 months she has been waiting. There are people waiting to buy but they may lose their mortgage offer if this delay goes on any longer.
I am signing out for tonight.
