Morning all. Think we're going to nip down to Ipswich for a change of scenery today. I have a lot of birthdays in December and need to get some cards, Xmas wrapping paper and a small SM shop.
LB - thoughts are with you on this difficult day but I'm sure your bestie will help lift your spirit with some happy memories. That's what besties do isn't it? Any chance of a visit from her granddaughter? That would definitely jolly things up!
Where are you off to today Ante? Maybe your landlord is taking you out for afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason? 🤣 As you know we always enjoy seeing some photos.
I'll join you in the sleepy head club SGL & Rubee. Had a couple of weeks now of very disturbed nights. Nothing wrong really - just a busy buzzing head. Very draining isn't it?

Afternoon all. Cool and windy here today but OH has cleared a lot of leaves from the front garden lawn which have blown in from neighbouring trees. I've cleaned down some more areas in the back garden, following their jet blasting yesterday and which have dried overnight and are now showing up muddy marks. We both slept well last night but are tired this morning. I've ordered a new book( to add to my winter collection of books to read in depths of cold dark nights) and it's coming before 10pm. Hello all. I've had a nice day. Much nicer than the weather I have to say. Bestie and I had a lovely natter and were joined by her daughter when she had finished with one of her clients. I had been hoping to get outside but rain - as ever- stopped play.
Ante, I hope that you have had a super day (no jellied eels!) and seen lots of interesting things. I'm like Busy - not a fan of cities at all. The only time I get to London is when I go to Twickenham.

Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Not been able to do anything interesting today. Weather has been a bit Marti but been plodding through my repetitive schedule of weekly work tedium anyway. We're in the eye of the storm - a 2nd relatively easy week after several extremely busy ones. It will ramp up next week to return to something closer to the ultimate madness
At least, from January, I'll be paying less in NI to the tune of about tuppence a week!
I did have a quick sortie outside to put the garden waste bin out (for the last time this year) and get the milk in. That's the extent of my exercise for the day

We went to Cambridge instead of Ipswich today which was nice. Decided I needed some new cosmetics which I don't want to buy online and which nobody in our local towns stock - so we went to John Lewis in Cambridge. Nice surprise to find 20% off for 'Black Friday week' so saved a few pennies.
No idea when Black Friday actually became a 'thing' in the UK (a [relatively] recent US import I think) but it now seems to be for most of November (grump grump).
Hope Ante's having a good time. The Regent Street angels looked nice on the news today.
