I have discovered that if I have no interest in any particular subject, then I make no efforts to involve myself in learning about, or understanding it. Like the game bridge for example so all that 'stuff' going on yesterday with the Chancellor (whoever he is) has just passed over my head.
I'm exactly the same @Ladybird4. My work definitely falls into that category ย ย
However, I worked out exactly how much better off I'll be each week when the National Insurance change happens in January - it won't buy many plants for the front garden ย
We went out to lunch yesterday, invited by 2 friends in a ladies' group. There were having a Christmas lunch so could invite friends and husbands.ย
Nothing on today. I will order my roses for my French garden. The Belgian nursery said they will arrange delivery for when I go back. I'll hem my new jeans.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I've just been out to check on my bins as the wind has whipped up here. I'll get back today to find mine and NDN will be lined up like a guard of honour across our two drives so I'll have to get out of the car to move them before I can get home. Its general waste and green bin for us.
Busy, you have made your final decisions on the roses then? What a lovely thing to look forward to on your return. Am I right in assuming it will be sometime in the New Year you go back to France?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable

Busy I have to turn some jeans up too .LB take care in this horrid weather .
No, LB, I go back to France on 17th December. The flights were very expensive after that and I have to be there in time to spend Christmas with my son and their 5 children. I will see the rest of my family too.
OH will spend Christmas with his daughter and 2 grandchildren in Eastbourne.

Morning all.Slept in again this morning.Must do weekly shop today and pick up a prescription so will pop into town for that. Ante, glad you're enjoying pursuing the shops and do enjoy the Museum. We went there once and it was only afterwards that we realised that we'd entered through the back door. We did wonder at the time where everybody was....
Fortunately, the paper/cardboard wagon has just been, so youngest's pizza boxes are on their way to a better place. In the short time I was out (again!), a newly empty recycling bin started to slide up the street towards a parked car. I intercepted it and returned it to its owner. Tempted to go up the street moving all the other empty bins down people's drives but, no doubt, it wouldn't go down well with somebody.
