This morning I did some indoor things involving a bucket of soapy water and a spongy thing on a stick. Then I spent 45 minutes gardening.

This afternoon I watched Bake Off with the hot metal thingy.

Hope you have a lovely holiday in London. We've been on cruises along the Thames, very enjoyable.Β

    Evening all,

Not looked in for a couple of days. I went to my sister's yesterday - first time this year! Ignored the Marti conditions and did a little bit in her garden. Then went for a mooch at her local GC with a view to comparing their fruit trees with what I've checked is available local to me. Ended up stuffing two apple trees into the back of my car for a return trip back over the Pennines ;) The top of one was poking me in the ear and just reaching the windscreen ;) Β£75 for the pair (compared with Β£65 per tree at the GC near me). I'd like to get them planted this week but will probably have to wait until the weekend.

Well done @biglad for braving those Pennines. We have to go that way when visiting mum, East to West, long journey. Bet your sister was glad to see you and really happy for the work you've done in her garden. Good price( I think) for your two apple trees. Hope they do well for you.
Plumber chap is coming to flush out radiators about a week before Christmas😬 That's an unexpected ( big ) cost.Hope it's not a cold day as we will have no heating for most of the day and have open doors😫brrr
Signing pit for today. Have a pleasant evening.

Good morning all. Had a very late night last night after the cup match - we lost by one point but we were playing the top of the league team. Some of the questions were very NOT general knowledge! For example - and my new knowledge for yesterday:
What was the name of Fidel Castro's yacht that was used by Che Guevara and others to try to invade Cuba in 1956? Answer: Granma. Well done to any of you that knew that one. The other similar question regarding ship's names: What was the name of the ship used to broadcast the pirate radio station Radio Caroline? Answer: Mi Amigo. Neither team knew either of those two answers.
    Ante, welcome to London.
@Biglad, which varieties did you buy?

    Morning all.

Gosh, that quiz sounds hard, LB. Our pub quiz was easier.

We are going to Norwich today to do some shopping.
