Glad you enjoyed Blickling @Busy-Lizzie … it’s a favourite of ours … hopefully we’ll get there again soon … think the last time I was there was when I met up with Mr & Mrs @Lizzie27 … and that was pre Lockdown. I have a sort of family connection as between the wars a maternal great aunt was the Marquis of Lothian’s London housekeeper and when he went to Blickling to entertain friends etc for the shooting season she would go with him and stay there, not to ‘work’ but just to oversee the Norfolk housekeeping staff and make sure things were up to London standards.

You are up and about early @coccinella Nippy this morning, but sunny and bright. One of those delightful autumn mornings - unfortunately spoiled by the sound of gunshot. Yes, shooting season seems to have opened. Can't have my morning ride yet.
After taking my overdue library book back, I shall endeavour to sweep up the fallen olives.
Have a good journey @coccinella … if I remember correctly that’s some interesting countryside … mind you Wonky was quite a small Womble when we were camping in the Wallonia region.

OH is singing in a small concert in a village church today, part of a local arts festival. He's being picked by friends for the rehearsal after lunch and I will go and watch later.
I must get on and put the sheets in the machine and plant out the last tray of violas.

Actually @Dovefromabove, our trip to Blickling when we met you was only last year! I must admit I had to think twice as we've had so many weekend trips away since then. OH was able to borrow a buggy to go round the Walled Garden afterwards, we really liked Blicking. Interesting anecdote about your ancestor.
Glad you like them @didyw. I have my gardening togs on, I've been planting daffodils in the village grass verges. The soil was very dry. Someone has a little honesty stall selling books, garden produce, jam etc. They have spent the money on bags of daffodils to make the village prettier. The village council has taken over the mowing of the verges etc as they thought they'd do a better job than the county council. The verges aren't good for wildlife anyway, being between the road and the pavement.
Now I'm off to garden in our own garden.

@Dovefromabove, I was surprised as well when I checked. I expect the traumatic events of last February for you wiped most of the previous year's events straight out of your mind. We enjoyed meeting you very much and Blickling of course.
I've had a lovely day gardening, finished cleaning the paving as far as the solution lasted and now have to wait a fortnight to see if it works. After lunch, I sieved two trugs of driveway debris/leaves/NRD's topsoil! and used it as a mulch on the wall sleeper bed. That could be a bad mistake if I've inadvertently tipped out hundreds of tiny muscari bulbs. I picked out the ones I could see and chucked them over the hedge onto the grass verge and then regretted doing that. Are they classed as invasive? OH has cut the front lawn but complained the grass was still wet at 5 pm. The temp was 24.1c.
Planting daffodils must have been hard work @Busy-Lizzie, so well done. You'll have to show us pics next year. I found what I think were rather soggy daff bulbs which were trying to grow in an empty container I'd forgotten about so I planted them in pots properly.

Hope the concert goes well @Busy-Lizzie.
It's very overcast this morning but we are promised sunshine later so I'd better get on with the remainder of the paving cleaning.
Goodness me … I’ve lost all track of time this year 🙄

I was going to get my gardening togs on today but I can't muster up the energy, so I think a quiet day for me today.
