    it took me 3 days to get a " solid " sample. It was so small it looked like it'd come from a sparrow

    That's not good @Hostafan1, presumably you've seen a GP and are awaiting test results.
    Bound to be something nasty you picked up on holiday given the timing. Immodium Instants are very good and quick acting.

    I spoke to the Doc on Friday. He told me to bring a sample before noon Saturday, to go  for testing.
    I got there at 11.40, but the courier had gone.

    Hello @Pat E, the weather is really strange world wide at the moment isn't it, I hope things start warming up for you very soon.

    Keeping my fingers crossed that the sample test will give you some answers @Hostafan1 and that your problem will have a speedy solution.

    My thanks to you all for the sympathies regarding the loss of my cat, I really appreciated them.
