Peter Beales Classic Roses garden
We have an annual season ticket, and go back many times in the year. They have an estate walk, a delightful tea room, and places to rest. Parking is a problem, but it's worth it.
I took a picture of their Lavender plants. There was a board telling that they normally cut the Lavender in Autumn, but they decided this year to cut it hard back in April hoping they could stop the cycle replacing the Lavender every 4 years. They believe it will grow again.
I'm not sure when we will make it to Hidcote again, but if the one or other forum member who visits Hidcote could let me know if the Lavender has come back, this would be great. If have never seen Lavender cut back in such amount.
Unfortunately, this is the only picture I can offer.
I ♥ my garden.
