Been out to the Riverhill Himalayan Gardens near Sevenoaks in Kent today. My first visit to the beautiful gardens, particularly as the rhododendrons were in flower, the English bluebells coming to the end of their flowering, and the view from the edge of the Weald was glorious. Highly recommended. Got in on the "2 for the price of 1" offer from the Gardeners World magazine. Thank you GW.😎
I have just been to Bodnant this week. Absolutely spectacular, probably one of the best gardens I have ever visited. The Laburnum walkway will be stunning in a couple of weeks, the flowers were just starting.
@Watsonia , thanks for the photos, I live not far from Bodnant and am planning a trip there (by coach, no car) in a couple of weeks or so. Appetite whetted!
I'm going to Bridgewater during May Half Term with my mum. Now living in Kent I do miss the North West so thought a trip was overdue along with a detour to media city and the Peel Building where I spent 3 years studying at Salford Uni.
Hoping there may be some roses for me to enjoy, even if a little early.
For those who don't know: Gardeners World magazine has a card for "2 for 1" on over 400 gardens all over the UK, valid til April 2024. The magazine is expensive at £8 but one or two gardens visited and you are saving. We went to Wakehurst Place last week which is too big to see all of it in one go and will certainly be going again with this offer.
Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

I’ve lived in the area for 15 years but today was my first visit to Chenies Manor. They are known for their tulip displays and it didn’t disappoint!
My father was the minister of the Baptist church.
Highly recommended. Got in on the "2 for the price of 1" offer from the Gardeners World magazine.
