No, that's not a problem, just plant as normal or heel in.. the rootstock shank is a tough old thing, it won't care about that..

Funnily enough I was looking at Coral Lion's Rose only the other day, so I'll wait to see what yours is like..

The sun came out this afternoon so I shot outside and moved a metal decorative trellis forward about a foot - my Claire Austin does tend to grow forwards away from the neighbouring arbour. The idea being that the long flexible stems can now be secured to the trellis , hopefully horizontally as much as possible. I was so pleased to just do something constructive out in the garden today. Forgot to take a photo so will try to remember to do this tomorrow, then post it on here.

welcome @rfur8832894 looking forward to see your roses this summer.. well, it feels like we are almost there.. even though we are a good few months off...

I might have ordered a bit more than I should have from TCL.. :# and all have gone to pots... was not able to take pics as I dreaded taking off my gloves in the cold.. will post names tomorrow as I need to check and sort them from all the orders I kept adding up..

anyone ordered potted from TW under offer?

@cooldoc I’ve just received a potted Just Joey from TW that I ordered before Christmas.  It looks pretty good to me as does an Irene Watt bare root.
  • WOW, @cooldoc - that is some order!
