We are watching it, @Lizzie27, some of the revelations are quite staggering.
How can you lie there and think of England

Yes it's even worse than we feared.

  • Good afternoon,  in spite of the wind and occasional drops of rain I went to the plots this morning and picked some more crops.  We are out this eve at a Radio recording of the news quiz so cooked lunch, and sandwiches this evening.

Back home after our Covid jabs, good excuse for a relaxing evening! Have had turkey steaks cooked in red wine with onions and red peppers, plus some cubed chunks of ham, delicious.
More rain expected tomorrow so a day at home planned. If arms are not sore, we will do some diy.
Hardly got our shoes wet on our walk this morning, surprising after all the deluge we had here on Sunday.

I've had a lovely day in Gran Canaria. Mostly naked on the roof terrace. It was 30C at 5.30pm.
    Devon.
  • 😳No wonder there are problems with flights!!!

    Have a lovely time 🏖 🤗

Hello. Quick update from Rome. Incredibly hot and sticky my nephew picked us up from the airport which was really nice of him,  now at my mum's.
The usual family chaos plus some disorganisation on the part of the groom and bride. Lots and lots of people staying all over. None speak Italian.
It'll be ok on the day.

    Take care all

  • Good morning all  :) ☕️

Hope it all goes marvellously @coccinella 🤞

A busy day ahead … flu jab in the morning then into the city to pick up my new specs.

Autumn is  definitely here,  so we have steak & kidney pie for supper … I cooked the beef skirt and ox kidney yesterday (the gravy tastes wonderful) and made a batch of rough puff pastry, so all I have to do is assemble it and pop it in the oven this afternoon.

There’s still a few beefsteak tomatoes on the vines … they’re neatly ready to  pick … otherwise almost the whole crop is ripe and has been picked and either eaten, turned into soup or roasted and turned into passata and frozen. 👍 no need for green tomato chutney this year … just as well as we’ve loads of courgette and date chutney on the shelves. 😆

  • Oooh … there was thick cloud cover a bit earlier … now it’s blue sky and sunshine … 🤞

    Morning all.

I hope it all goes well @coccinella and you have a great time.

OH is taking me to lunch at my favourite pub restaurant in Suffolk. It was to have been for my birthday but as I managed to get an earlier flight here we have already been out to lunch on my birthday. Two birthday lunches!

Very windy still but I think @Dovefromabove's sun is just starting to arrive. Rain is forecast for later.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
